Mark's Tribute to Bob

Title link takes you there. Note the connection to the Moog 904a and the following, "We talked for a while, and he started drawing. He had picked up on my using words like "life" and "organic". He also picked up on my saying that I saw tree frogs as an incredible example of how nature can provide color to life."

This reminds me of the color Bob brought to our lives. Hats off you you Mark Pulver. Simply amazing. Mark Pulver Moog Tattoo

  1. I'm having trouble figuring out what that is. It's a palm tree with the Moog logo and some 1/4" jacks in it? That guy was trippin'! Great colors though.

I have a friend who took 'heavy' drugs and let a tatoo artist practice on him. He got a tatoo of a minimoog on his forearm, except the tatoo came out in reverse! Poor fool, now he has a permanent tatoo of a lefty minimoog on his arm. What's worse, the tatoo artist didn't even put the effort to make the keys right, they are just alernating white-black-white-black!
Moral of the story: Don't do drugs and let tatoo artists practice on you.

  2. Wow, that's beautiful. But then again I'm mentally retarded and have bad eye-sight.

  3. Click on the title link and read the story. Some tatoos mean more than others. Mark Pulver was good friend with Bob Moog. When Bob passed he was devastated. This isn't about a cool tatoo. It means much more than that. I think the organic nature of the tatoo speaks more about what Bob Moog brought to people through his creations. Music is supposed to make you trip - it's about the imagination, whatever that might be for a particular piece filtered through a particular person. It's different for each person.

  4. Reading the story and seeing the complete tattoo does give it more meaning. That's some nice art, unlike my buddy's crummy 'practice' tattoo I described above.
