  1. Stupendous! From the bombast of Edgar Winter to this...

  2. Edgar Winters music is hardly electronic. Fad Gadget is fully electronic. Totally different things and honestly, I think he was a role model for manies as was Kraftwerk!

  3. Having never experienced it myself, I can't help but think it must be very strange (and/or surreal) having to pretend to be playing, singing AND dancing all while being recorded for video posterity. It all seems a bit silly. I guess that explains the exaggerated stylings of the dude on the Korg?

    Great track btw...

  4. Yes, the point about Edgar Winter was just the contrast from one extreme of music to another. Myself, I prefer Fad Gadget.

Synths: apart from the Korg MS20, there's also what could be a Minikorg 700s.

I think the power drill is a Black and Decker. Not sure about the model, but definitely pre-midi.

  5. Strange, I always was under the impression that the bass synth sound in that song was Daniel Miller's PPG Wave, using the arpeggiator. The PPG was pretty heavily used on Fad's music, and if I'm correct, is the same exact PPG that was used by early Depeche Mode.
