To reduce spam, comments for posts older than one week are not displayed until approved, usually same day. Do not insult people. For items for sale, do not ask if it is still available. Check the auction link and search for the item. Auctions are from various sellers and expire over time. Posts remain for the pics and historical purposes. This site is meant to be a daily snapshot of some of what was out there in the world of synths.

I've heard this thing scream and wail, but does anybody know if it can sound smooth and mellow like a Solovox or Ondes Martenot?
ReplyDeleteYes, it can indeed. But most people aren't interested in that.....furthermore, its sounds are quite different from a Solovox etc. Hard to explain. You could try the Muff Wiggler blog to find sounds of the Wretch--he has one and has been doing a lot with it.
ReplyDeleteMuff Wiggler Doesnt have an S-1000.
ReplyDeleteBut he does have a collection of TM-1,2,3,5,6,7 and TX-1 and TX-2.
Endmusik.com has also done MANY recordings with it, smooth and harsh,
Keep your eyes on endmusik.com and thewretch.com this fall to hear it in action.
