New PAiA modular. BTW, I'm curious how this one sounds compared to the Fatman. If you you have one please comment.

PAiA 2720

Details:
"The 2720 was one of the first modular systems from PAiA originally sold as a kit in the seventies. Its patchable capabilities and unique sound make this synth stand apart from other synths of its time. The modules can be patched together and used with the keyboard, or can be expanded and easily connected to other patchable gear. A very versatile instrument that can also be used as an incredible analog effects processor.

the ten modules included in this system:

power supply
voltage control oscillator
function generator
control oscillator
voltage control amplifier
bandpass filter
low pass filter
envelope follower
inverter buffer
sine/pwm"

"Wiard Sequentizer being controlled by a Cyndustries gate sequencer. Loop of 8 notes and every 3rd gate transposes up the note 1 octave. Wiard vco being controlled by the sequence going through 4 bandpass filters. Also modulating a Zero VCO witch is being modulated by the Wiard vco and other stuff. Going trough 2 borg filters.

Also there is an RSF Kobol involved sequencer by an Oberheim sequencer. All drum sounds are TR-606."

Olivier Grall Synths

I've put up a post on Olivier Grall's Synth site previously, however if you haven't been there it is definitely worth checking out. For those of you who also appreciate organs, he just put up a page on the Fender Contempo. Do check it out. Title link takes you to the root of the site.

"I had this link posted in the "Everything Synth" section, but it really should be here. Here's a link to hear Alain Thibault's "God's Greatest Gift" composed on a Fairlight. It features a quote from everybody's favorite 40th President, Ronald Reagan and shows a glimpse of what the early digital systems were capable of with a LOT of work. This song could now be composed on a laptop while riding the bus.

"I made up this little chart to keep track of the various makers of modular/patchable analog synths (including modules, kits, PCBs and virtual synths) outside America, especially here in Australia. Pin matrixes are definitely a British/Australian phenomenon."

Roland CSQ-100

via this auction.

"The Roland CSQ-100 is a microcomputer-controlled digital CV/gate Sequencer. It is much like the CSQ-600. However, it can only play one sequence at a time. Sequences can be recorded via an external CV/gate input or using step-time. Portamento can not be programmed, but is adjusted manually as a sequence is being played."
