Synthesizer Overview :
* 2 powerful oscillators that sound really fat each with 4 wave forms.(triangle, saw, square and Pulse with PWM)
* A ring modulator. (also with external input)
* A complex mixer, with many routing options.
* A multimode VCF and second very fat bandpass filter (with resonance), love that filter sound.
* Sample and Hold.
* VCA with many triggering options.
* 2 envelopes, one ADSR one AR.
* 2 LFOs, with 5 waveforms in all (saw, ramp, sine, square, triangle)
* Noise generator (pink, white)
* Portamento, pitch bender (vco or vcf), (moog circuit added)
* CV and Gate inputs, extra cv control inputs for VCO, VCF,
* External audio input and external trigger input.

KORG DDD-1 Sound ROM Mods

"In development at the moment now are new ROM chips and a new PCB add on kit for the DDD-1. Fitting our add on PCB kit will enable you to use our new ROM chips that will expand the sounds of your DDD-1 with lots of new lo-fi crunchy sounds for which the DDD-1 is known and loved. Gone are the days of endlessly searching for those elusive, hard to find ROM cards. DDD-1 owners with no ROM cards will be able to fit the new add on PCB kit and expand their machine easily with many new sounds."

Small French-Swiss Synth Gathering on Sept 22 2007

via yusynth.

"On september the 22nd was held a small meeting of some Swiss and French analogue synth geeks in Saint-Fortuna (a small village in the wonderfull and wild region of Ardèches in France). You can find some nice pictures of this meeting on this French speaking forum.

Among these photos you'll find some good shots of the my new MOS-LAB custom system. Yes, I am the lucky owner of this very first model ;-) You'll find also a photo of a CS15 that was moded to increase the resonance range of the Yamaha filter. The description of this mod can be found on my yusynth forum (french speaking).

There were also some inspiring jams that were video taped and that might be downloadable someday..."

FreqBox vs Virus Pt-02 (Toys 'n Noise)

YouTube via Analogger. Follow up to this post.
"This time I put the FreqBox thru the Lowpass Filter. Again into the Access Virus. A Roland MPU-101 gated the Virus and also step modulated the oscillator frequency on the FreqBox. I put the osc in both "synced" and "non-synced" modes. I basically just hit the low E string on my guitar with a couple other notes thrown in when I wasn't twisting knobs. The rhythm pattern comes from my sequencer which is triggering the Virus. The Virus is set to "external input" so there is no internal sound...just that which is being fed into it from the FreqBox."

Atomo Labs Mochika Sequencer

images via this auction.

"hand built Analog sequencer synthesizer created by Alfredo Aliaga for Atomo Labs.

This synth features one square and saw waveform VCO (voltage controled oscillator) with a huge pitch range, from subsonic to ultrasonic sound

One square and triangle waveform LFO (low frequency oscillator), that modulates the VCO for the vibrato effect creating old school arcade Atari-like sounds.

White noise generator that triggers the VCO and can create percussion like sounds.

8 step Sequencer with note on/off switch and pitch knob for each step

It features a 1/4 inch audio output, 1/4 inch CV Output (to control other analog gear), 1/4 inch Clock input (gate in, to sync whit an external analog clock, like another analog sequencer), 1/4 inch Gate/clock output.(to sync whit other analog gear using the Mochika's internal clock)

Also the instrument is ligthed with 2 red ultra bright leds that indicates the LFO and Sequencer Rate, and 8 red ultra bright leds to indicate the step that is being played. Very useful when you play it on a dark stage.

The Analog Sequencer is packed in a cool cristal acrilic case that shows all the hand made analog circuitry.

The instrument is powered directly from 110V or 220V AC, rubber feet, and comes with operation manual.

Dimensions: 9 inch(W), 7 inch(D), 3 1/4 inch(H. incuded rubber feet and knobs)"
