The Harvestman Tyme Safari Demo
Via The Harvestman user group:
"Now that we're preparing the Tyme Sefari prototype for demonstration
(and greater manufacture) I think I'll share this test recording.
Nothing big, just some Ethyl Meatplow mangled with random playback
direction and loop markers."

It was an wonderful event showcasing the life and mind of legendary synthesizer inventor and electronic music innovator Bob Moog, who has his production facilities here in Asheville. Wintherstormer Custom Modular
"I am fortunate enough to have some original R.A. Moog modular modules from 1969. They were in terrible condition, but after one year of complete restoration, including numerous help from a lot of people around the world, they are now fully restored. They were originally housed in an ugly metal enclosure, and needed a few aditional modules to become a complete synth, so I bought a brand new cabinet and some moog-looking modules from Roger Arrick at Synthesizers.com, and added a MOTM quad LFO from Paul Schreiber at Synthesis Technology to complete the system. I now have a very good-looking and superbly sounding modular synth."

Roland Jupiter-8 Synth, 1983
flickr by euthman
"This metal-clad eight-voice monstrosity was extremely powerful for its time, but it was an unreliable beast, crashing spontaneously, one time in the middle of a gig. I shipped it to Roland in California twice for repairs, but the crashes continued.
I paid $4600 for it back around 1981, I think. I finally gave it away to my teenage next-door neighbor, who grew up to be a professional musician, serving as Mandy Moore's music director for one of her tours."
Before any rumors start, note that Jupiter-8s for the most part are actually considered to be super reliable.

Roland GR-300 Analog Guitar Synth
images via this auction
"The GR-300 produces effects and nuances which keyboard synthesizers cannot easily produce. To produce the effect of the GR-300, you would need:
6-octave shifters + 6-compressors + 6-chorus machines + 6-distortion units + 6-phase shifters + waw + etc. + etc. It Is very easy to produce anything from simple or complex 5010 sounds to the sounds of a huge band or orchastra. All major functions are controlled with foot switches and require no hands.
• Small, compact unit (like an effects box) with all electronic-type foot-controlled switching of major functions; good for Iive performance.
• Produces stable effects for all styles of guitar playing which, up to now, were Impossible: hammering, glissando, chopping, etc.
• Totally polyphonic: one VCO for each string.
• Instant and accurate transposing to two preset pitches.
• Duet switch for chorus effect.
• Polyphonic distortion for new clarity, even with chords.
• Synthesizer ON/OFF for each string."

New Dell Latitude to Have Multi-Touch
"Just in case you missed it, at Oracle OpenWorld 2007, Dell demonstrated the multi-touch capability of their new Latitude XT tablet PC. Users will be able to use multiple fingers to draw lines or manage several images simultaneously. Kevin Kettler, Dell's chief technology officer, noted that "it's going to be a great avenue for creative applications to be developed around it." Dell plans on shipping the system sometime in the next few months."
