Papareil QUANTIX-8 CV Quantizer / Wavetable Osc.

"The Quantix-8 module is a CV Quantizer / Wavetable Oscillator based on a 4Mbits Static RAM memory and a PIC microcontroler with a full MIDI implementation. The memory contain 2048 waveforms of 256bytes organised into a matrix of 32 Banks x 64 Waves. The Quantix-8 is a very polyvalent 7 in 1 module"

LFO into dual quantizer

YouTube via boobtube356
"Playing around with two LFO CV signals into dual voltage quantizer. Trigger delay is used to manage the timing. The bass part is two A-111's. The lead part is a Cwejman VCO-6 square output through an MMF-1. The percussion is the cutoff of an A-121 self resonating."

casper modular synth+circuit bent barbies+sequencers

YouTube via bubagoo
"for more info visit: http://www.casperelectronics.com/.
All sounds are generated by the modular synth (right) and two heavily modified barbie karaoke machines which have been mounted into a single housing (top left).

The synth is feeding through and being processed by one of the barbies. The second barbie is generating it's own sounds. Both barbies are being controlled by the step sequencer (bottom left). Watch the lights on the step sequencer to see how it corresponds with the sound.
The synth is being controlled by the Pulse divider (bottom center) and melody sequencer (top right).

All three sequencers are sync'd together using a common clock signal.

Atomo Mochika

images via this auction

"This synth features one square and saw waveform VCO (voltage controled oscillator) with a huge pitch range, from subsonic to ultrasonic sound

One square and triangle waveform LFO (low frequency oscillator), that modulates the VCO for the vibrato effect creating old school arcade Atari-like sounds.

White noise generator that triggers the VCO and can create percussion like sounds.

8 step Sequencer with note on/off switch and pitch knob for each step

It features a 1/4 inch audio output, 1/4 inch CV Output (to control other analog gear), 1/4 inch Clock input (gate in, to sync whit an external analog clock, like another analog sequencer), 1/4 inch Gate/clock output.(to sync whit other analog gear using the Mochika's internal clock)

Also the instrument is ligthed with 2 super bright green leds that indicates the LFO and Sequencer Rate, and 8 blue ultra bright leds to indicate the step that is being played. Very useful when you play it on a dark stage.

The Analog Sequencer is packed in a cool cristal acrilic case that shows all the hand made analog circuitry.

The instrument is powered directly from 110V or 220V AC, rubber feet, and comes with operation manual.

Dimensions: 9 inch(W), 7 inch(D), 3 1/4 inch(H. incuded rubber feet and knobs)"

MOOG Memorymoog Plus

images via this auction
"Produced: 1982-1985
The Memorymoog is a polyphonic synthesizer manufactured by Moog Music from 1982 to 1985, the last synthesizer to be released by the company. The Memorymoog was capable of storing 100 preset sounds whereas most memory-enabled synthesizers before it could store only a much smaller number of presets. While not as polyphonic as the Polymoog which featured unlimited polyphony, the Memorymoog is sonically superior, & often described as like having six Minimoogs in one unit. Each of the six polyphonic voices of the Memorymoog is made up of three VCOs that can be set to pulse, saw, or triangle waveforms and switched between octaves. Each voice also has its own VCF. All 18 oscillators can be set for monophonic playing for powerful leads and basslines. An independent LFO allows modulation, while vco-3 can also be used for modulation. It is possible, with concentrated programming, to emulate some acoustic & electric instruments quite accurately, quite surprising for a "traditional" synthesizer. The Memorymoog uses Curtis CEM 3340 chips as opposed to the standard Moog oscillators and the sound quality of the instrument is often unfairly criticized for this reason. It is still capable of dominating any mix it is used in. Stock Memorymoogs are prone to problems, notably missing or stuck voices, or auto-tuning failures. A later version, the Memorymoog+, is capable of taking a MIDI retrofit and also features a basic polyphonic sequencer."

ASM-2 (Part 4) on Synth.nl

"Yesterday I received another bunch of parts for my ASM-2. With this parts I finished the PCB. I only miss two 120 nF capacitors. The strange thing is that no manufacturer has those values anymore in their assortment. I will ask Elby Designs if they can supply them or maybe I can replace them with 100 nF or 150 nF. I don't know how critical the value is. Two other components are not fitted yet."

MonoMiK DIY synth mechanics

YouTube via MusicMiK. You can find more previously posted here.
"Building a DIY synthesizer not just involves all this interesting electronics, there is also a lot of mechanics to do. As i want to create a lot of documentation for the current project, the MonoMiK, i had the camera running during my 6 hours of mechanics work today and created a video from it.

This is most of the inner frame holding the modules later and giving the synthesizer stability and some sort of electric shield."

3 synthesizer Bach chorales (Switched on XioSynth)

YouTube via syntesen
"In this video, I have realized 3 Bach chorales with the $299 XioSynth synthesizer in the style of Wendy Carlos!

None of these chorales are included on any J.S. Bach synthesizer album, so they are "all new". Sheet music courtesy of CPDL (http://cpdl.org)!

Hope you like it! :)"
