    Really have to wonder why you'd spend the money on one of these when a VA could sound very similar.

    don't forget the smell component. this old gear often has a nice toxic smell.

    and those microbes that dissolve tolex cases -- they smell the best!

    Sud, if you had really played both virtual and analog you would know better. I am shocked that someone would take this stance particularly against the fatness of those Curtis chips. NOT POSSIBLE TO EMULATE.

    Well, I'm sure you'll have no problems pasting all the ABX tests you've done to demonstrate that the analogue sounds consistently (a) different from, (b) better than any given emulation. After all, you couldn't possibly be just airing a received prejudice without having satisfied yourself objectively that you can support it, could you...?
