The Pendulum Electronica

YouTube via sciencefidelity
"This is a work from 2002 inspired by the Pendulum Music by Steve Reich. Four torches hang directly above four light sensors, four assistants pull back and release the torches simultaneously, as each torch passes its light sensor a sound is played. The sounds are field recordings made in the city the work is being performed. Cities the work has visited include Nottingham, Glasgow and Paris, here are clips from two different performances in Cardiff."
