NOT NAMM: Yusynth Sequential Router

via electro-music.com
"I have just finished testing my new YUSYNTH module called Sequential Router (I hesitated to call it a sequential multiplexer).
It is meant to be an utilty module designed as a complement to Moog 960 like analogue sequencer.

The idea is to route the three rows of CVs from the sequencer to two outputs (e.g. to drive VCOs).
There are three CV inputs called 1,2 and 3 and two outputs A and B.
A SHIFT/CLOCK input makes it possible to step sequentially through the six rotary switches. The switches offer 9 routing selections.
The shift input receives a GATE signal from the first step of the sequencer.
The position of a switch defines the routing for the corresponding stage : for example A2-B1 means the CVs from input 2 are routed to output A
while the CVs from input 1 are routed to output B.
This makes it possible to create long and complex and intermangling sequences from three short sub-sequences.

It must be noted that I used Maxim analogue switches which provide nearly null resistance and can handle voltages
in the -15V to +15V range !!!! As such the inputs and outputs can be exchanged, that is, inputs become outputs and conversely !

Other fun, you can use it with audio signals, in such a case the outputs are the left and right channel and the inputs receive
any audio signal that you can sequence through and multiplex to the stereo channels.

Next is a short MP3 file demonstrating this module : the main sequence is 48 step long and build with three 8 steps subsequences.
Some additional effects were also layered from other modules and some nice arpeggio created with the P-SEQUENCER module
designed by Alain Coupel http://www.acoupel.com.

SEQ-ROUTER-DEMO

The full-circuit and assembly instruction should be made available on my site next week I think (I still need to trim a few component values)

NAMM: New Cwejman Modules in White!

via navs.modular.lab where you'll find more pics, audio and details.

Official details via Cwejman:
"The CTG-VC provide control voltages that can be used for dynamic change of all voltage controlled parameters, such as; frequency, amplitude, pulse width, cutoff. The most common use is controlling filters cutoff frequency and a voltage controlled amplifiers amplitude in order to achieve dynamic timbre- and level-changes. All parameters such as attack time, attack hold time, decay time, sustain level, release time and output level are voltage controlled. The CTG-VC is a complex transient generator with a lot of features, such as; two different shapes for the attack, attack hold (A-HOLD) for more punchier sound than a standard attack, variable decay slope (D-SLOPE) from natural exponential to heavy logarithmic, attack-decay loop (A-D LOOP) and polarized level for outgoing transient signals which means that both outputs levels are controllable in both directions (positive and negative)."

"The MMF-6 is a multi mode filter with six outputs, first three from the left; "clean" low pass, band pass and high pass. Low- band- and high pass to the right are processed by three separate (for every output) saturation circuits with two modes; soft and hard.Additionally, the filter core has so called "symmetry" control for the resonance and cutoff frequency. It is possible to control cutoff so positive and negative going signals has different cutoff frequencies, from a subtle "edge" to very dramatical character of the audio signal (including frequency division effect). Now it's possible to imitate the famous Moog filter (it can not replace it, of course), OTA based filters and others. All this by modulating symmetry by one of outputs (pre-patched to "clean" low pass output) or an external signal. Now it is possible to mix clean and saturated audio signals in any combination.."

YouTube via Themaktima
"The Doepfer Dark Energy is a powerful little synth. It becomes even more powerful, though, when hooked up with a Vermona Perfourmer. The Perfourmer can act as a filterbank for external signals. But what makes it really cool is that you can use the "Poly" mode to apply individual filter and envelope settings to sequential steps. Lets you add lots of variety to the anyway lively basic sound of the Dark Energy, indeed. With a little more practice, I´m sure I can get much better results than in the video. Gotta love these analog machines."

MIDI-cv/gate conversion is being done through one of the 4 channels on the Syntechno TeeBee, though it makes no sound. The drums are abasic beat made of TR-909 samples. The synth part never changes, and the drums are one pattern plus or minus an instrument. Drum pads on the Akai MPK-49 are being used to trigger Ableton scenes but only really change the drum parts. Akai faders are employed to add effects to the drums or synth. This is just a quick experiment to see what variations we could get from two simple parts and some effects performance, and synth tweaking."
