Roland HS60 / Juno 106 analogue synth

via this auction

"This is identical to Roland's Juno 106, except that they added speakers and stuck it in a silver box. The Juno 106 is a staple for electronica, and a popular way to bring analogue sounds into the studio, having MIDI (lacking on the Juno 6) and patch memories (lacking on the Juno 60). It didn't originally sell very well, though, so Roland repackaged it for the home market as the HS60. If you pick up any recent issue of Future Music, you'll find it listed as their No.1 Ebay bargain; a wolf in sheep's clothing (although I actually like the silver makeover myself)."

YM_MINI Synthesizer Kit Version

"This is a usb-powered software-midi controlled mini synthesizer circuits. It uses a virtual midi driver to fully control a real YM2149 chip in stereo.

The chip is most well known for its use in the Apple II Mockingbird soundcards and Atari ST computers. The YM or the chip from which it was derived (GI’s AY-3-8910) also created the music and audio in the Intellivision, Vectrex, some MSX systems, Sinclair ZX and Spectrum home computers, and many arcade machines.

The synth can be played via a live controller like monome or Oxygen8, or any midi-capable software such as Logic-Pro, Energy-XT, FL_Studio, Reaktor, Reaper, Max/MSP, PureData, Protrekkr, — pretty much anything that can sequence midi!"

Division 6 Multiplicity XV

"Multiples are handy, but the more ways you split your signal the weaker it gets.

The Multiplicity XV is a buffered multiple; every single output jack regenerates your signal. Whether you are splitting audio or control voltages, there is no degradation.

Multiplicity's channels are cascaded, giving you flexibility in how many ways you split your signal. Plug a signal into input 1 and it will be available from all 15 outputs. Add a different signal into input 3 and it breaks the chain; signal 1 comes out 6 outputs and signal 2 is available at the remaining 9. You can have up to 5 inputs split 3 ways each."

Robert Rich Live with MOTM Modular Saturday May 15

Full details here.
"Across three decades and over 30 albums, Robert Rich has helped define the genres of ambient music, dark-ambient, tribal and trance, yet his music remains hard to categorize. Part of his unique sound comes from using homemade acoustic and electronic instruments, microtonal harmonies, computer-based signal processing, chaotic systems and feedback networks. Rich began building his own analog synthesizers in 1976, when he was 13 years old, and later studied for a year at Stanford’s Center for Computer Research in Music and Acoustics (CCRMA)."

Note Robert will have a 15 module MOTM system, not the full blown modular in the image here. You can get an idea of what the performance will be link in these videos.

An enchanted theme

YouTube via attorks — May 08, 2010 — "Again last night I was playing around with Nodal. This time I synchronized the Doepfer MAQ16/3 sequencer from Nodal through MIDI. Nodal plays 3 sequences. The first sequence is driving the Creamware MiniMax ASB, the second is transposing the Synthesizers.com sequence and the third is doing the bassline performed by a sine wave from the Ian Fritz Teezer Through-Zero VCO fed to the Resonant LoPass Gate. The Doepfer MAQ16/3 plays two 7-step sequences. The first sequence is driving the Synthesizers.com Modular which is transposed by Nodal, and the second is driving the self-built Modular."
