Gotharman deMOON Synth Granular Effect Synthesizer

via this auction
"Affordable 4 note polyphonic filterbank synthesizer with build-in granulator and distortion effects, step-sequencer and note randomizer. Small and compact in size with a great sound. The headphone output and the step-sequencer makes it ideal to express your musical ideas everywhere, and store them in 128 memory locations.

THE OSCILLATORS
The deMOON oscillator waveforms are continuously variable from triangle to saw to square or from triangle to saw to noise. The wave-shaping can be modulated from all sources, including the oscillator itself. All waveforms can be pulsewidth and pitch-modulated. The noise waveform can be pitched or unpitched. Unison mode with detune are available. The oscillator section has it’s own two LFO’s and one envelope. The LFO waveforms are continuously variable from triangle to saw to square to pulse. The LFO’s can be both wave and rate-modulated.

THE FILTERS
The deMOON has four filters which are indepedently programable and each can be routed in serial or parallel to the others. Each filter can be set in lo-pass, band-pass or hi-pass mode. Cut-off, resonance and output levels can be modulated, and each filters output can be panned separately. The filter-section has it’s own two LFO’s (same types as descibed in the oscillator section), one envelope and one random-generator, that can be trigged from LFO1, LFO2 or midi note-on’s.

THE MINIGRAN
The minigran are a scaled down version of our deFormer’s granulator effect. It cuts the input up in small fragments, and reorder these fragments to create a totally different sounding output. While the deFormers granulator works in sizes of seconds, deMOON’s minigran only works in sizes of milliseconds, so it is not very usable for rearranging beats. It’s more like that it rearranges the waveform, and makes it sound glass/bell/voice-like or very strange.

THE DISTORTION EFFECT
deMOON has five different types of distortion to choose from:
- GAIN: Not really a distortion. Just gains the sound. It is possible to gain the sound so it clips.
- VALVE: A digital model of a classic valve distortion.
- SINE: Sine shape distortion. Strange and Noisy!
- FUZZ: A digital model of a classic fuzz distortion.
- XDIS: INSANE!!! Destroys everything.

THE STEP-SEQUENCER
A one-track monophonic type with a maximum of 32 steps. Note, velocity and controller sub-tracks. Tracks are "recorded" by entering values for each step. Syncs to midi-clock.

THE NOTE RANDOMIZER
The note randomizer treats incoming MIDI note on and off’s and notes generated by the internal sequencer (if turned on). When it receives note data, it takes a look at a user adjustable probability parameter, and randomly decides if it will play that note or not. If it decides to play the note, it will have a look at a user adjustable random velocity parameter, and if this is higher than zero, it will randomize the note velocity value with the adjusted amount. This effect is very useful for creating variations in repeating patterns.

MIDI CONTROL
deMOON receives note on’s and off’s and program change on the selected midi-channel. The oscillators also recieves pitch-bend data. All modulatable parameters can be modulated by velocity and midi-controller 1-3. Midi controllers 4 to 90 are hard-assigned to most of the deMOON’s parameters, for easy hooking up with a midi-control device.

THE USER INTERFACE
deMOON’s user interface are very simple: One volume knob, to edit/controller knobs, an encoder with click switch and a play/enter pushbutton with blue LED. In edit mode, the two edit/controller knobs edits two parameters at a time, on the selected edit page. In sound select mode, they transmits midi-controller 2 and 3 internally to the parameters, where these controllers are selected as modulation source. The encoder selects sound and navigate around in the edit pages plus it adjusts some switch-functions on some edit pages"

"Wassup everybody, some recent developments so here ya go:

Introducing the Fresh-a-Sketch! a monome 40h kit built into an old Etch-a-Sketch complete with working pots knobs and two infrared controllers... Think DIY D-beams!

I'm using monome_midi_64 from monome base to route monome presses to Ableton Live. The adc function of this patch makes it handy for mapping the pots and beams...

Ableton is basically acting as a sampler in clip view with some midi mappings and macros for the fx chains...

all clips are mapped to buttons, the bottom two rows are dedicated to the Finger, knobs and beams are assigned to parameters of that plugin...

Track is Sweet & Savory part of a new project. On this track the guitar licks are brought to you by Abramius Bromide. Bells, drums and other random noise, yours truly.

Enjoy!"
Note the mini pul(sew)idth minimoog.

Update via Chili in the comments: "Also featured is an ABG a.k.a. Autonomous Bassline Generator designed in Austin by 4ms. Super great noisemakers and synth hardware!"

Jomox Resonator Neuronium

via this auction

"The Resonator Neuronium is a unique, one of a kind electronic instrument which is the brain child of the man behind Jomox - Jürgen Michaelis. Six resonating filters work together with complex cross modulations using multiple synthesis topologies simultaneously to create sounds which are simply not available with any other device.
More information, including a PDF of the manual, is available at http://www.jayemsonic.de/2l2-resoneurotext.html

Some music and sound art composed for the Resonator Neuronium can be heard at http://www.jayemsonic.de/2l56-yogitunesold.html

This instruments palette certainly comes close to the famous Buchla 100 at times. It is *very* analogue and *very* big sounding but still completely unique.

Included with this auction:
- Resonator Neuronium
- Original 120v US-style Power Supply
- Padded aluminum case"

Moog muSonics Minimoog

via this auction

"As you can see, this is an early "muSonics" Minimoog (serial # 1256) which are rarely seen. I believe this one was made late in 1971. These early models are a bit different than those made later; Metal face with incremental graphics, walnut cabinet, squared back panel, clear pitch/mod wheels, no voltage selection like later units, older oscillator card (RA Moog stamp), and a few other things."

This one had a BIN of US $8,800.00 but did not sell.

Roland Juno-60 with Blue LEDs, Display and Bender

"Here are some finer details;
- The side rails are now solid maple , the first, professionally painted a very nice dark blue. The second is natural solid maple with a unique design.
- This particular design is patent-pending, with it's own serial number. You'll receive a certificate of owner ship.
- The bender is now a semi-transparent blue plexi-glass bender, with blue leds shining from below.
- You'll have a choice of stains for the sides, a few different versions will be posted in a few days.! I happen to really like this one, but some of my friends say it should be darker to look more retro. I'll let you decide!
- It also has had a full panel board rebuild. So every slider and button functions as if it were brand new.
- The keys have also been cleaned and respond like new as well.
- I have also loaded the best patches so you won't have to go looking around or try to program too many of your own. (even though that can be fun... it's ready to go!)

It is a work of ART. The stage effect is beautiful. A head turner for sure! and it's a lot of fun!"

"Goofing around with the modular synth and an old Sequential Circuits Drumtraks.

The piece is a bit noisy at some points where the cheap-o compressor stomp box and the drum machine's flakey pot make a debut. I liked the overall feel of this one and will incorporate it into a final piece somewhere. The bass line is appealing to me where it diverts off on a pseudo key change. This is leading me to some rare sounding melodic lines already.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy it.

Synths used are the Synthesizers.com 88 space portable modular and the Sequential Circuits Drumtraks."
