via dyLAB: "I've recently had my roland TR-606 modified by exfade. I've stuck a couple of shots on flickr.
Also I've recorded a bit of a demo of each sound that people can download and slice. [below] Its all out of the main mix out so there might be a bit of noise across the sounds but it gives you an idea of the sounds this thing is capable of and some of the sounds are useful for samples"
TR-606 exfade mk2 Sound Test Sample by DyLABs "This is a run through of all the sounds on my modded Roland TR606. The mods are by exfade and this is a Mark 2 with Mute. You can check out exfade at www.exfade.org. Feel free to download and slice away."
via the seller: "If you don't know, the Siel Orchestra 2 is basically a second version of the more common Arp Quartet. It has the four presets - piano, strings, organ, brass - but with LOADS more control, including an LFO, phaser/chorus type effects, the ability to combine the presets, lots of knobs and switches, etc. Where the Quartet/Orchestra 1 was not very flexible, this Siel OR-400 is much more flexible. I'd compare it favorably with the Moog Opus 3, but with an added fourth preset (the Opus 3 has only 3 presets; the Siel has a piano preset added)."

"Experiment using the modular, creating a sequence without any traditional sequencer, using clock dividers and a mixer. Not a musical statement just a fun experiment using different techniques. Quick and dirty."
"Arp Odyssey MkI rare white face analog synthesizer. It is in near mint condition, front is near perfect, and only a few minor scruffs here and there. Fully functional. The keys are level and trigger nicely. A complete new set of sliders were recently installed, and the sliders are very smooth, unlike many old Odyssey's which will have sticky gummed up sliders. Only issue I noticed is it's missing one slider cap, which can easily be found on the net and replaced at a low cost if so desired. It sounds incredible, lovely Arp tone. There are a few mods on the back, including CV in (the unlabeled 1/4" jack on the right), trigger in and gate in."
"manufactured in Feb. 1972; the low serial # is 1338... Moog 1120 Pedal Controller that has been internally cleaned (a new battery terminal and battery was just installed also)...pedal works great for controlling volume, oscillator or filter; a MiniMoog D Operational Manual, 1973 Moog Catalog & Pricelist and a folder full of Sound Charts is also included."
I recently visited Alessandro and we spent some time organizing the production of the upcoming batch of SuONOIO. Things are looking great! All of the electronic parts are in hand, and we are just waiting on the batch of circuit boards to arrive from overseas which should ship any day now. Then, I’ll build an example to confirm that the boards work, and for the factory to use. Then the manufacturing will begin! We will probably be running a few days late, apologies for that.
If anybody’s going to NAMM I will have a SuONOIO on display at the Analogue Haven booth in hall E (basement), way in the back corner by the bad snack bar."

"Or to be more precise, duophonic! Both the Moog Little Phatty keyboard and the Slim Phatty module are monophonic instruments, but chain them together with MIDI and you can create a polyphonic Moog system! I wish we had more Slim Phatties lying around but at time of writing are currently sold out :'~|
That's a good thing though, right? If you have one of these synths (or a Voyager which can also be chained), and know someone else who does too, get over there and try this out!
Anyhow. This vid is unfortunately in mono (onboard camera sound too), and most certainly not a musical statement, as we had just received the Slim Phatty and I was just testing that the setup works! I had individual synths to individual speakers and in stereo, in person, it sounded AMAZING. You'll have to forgive my complete inability to play a keyboard. God bless MIDI. And Dr Bob Moog."
"Nanoloop for Game Boy is a sequencer / synthesizer cartridge for Game Boy consoles. It allows to create electronic music without further hardware, using headphones or external speakers for sound output.
The idea of nanoloop is to simplify the stepsequencer concept as far as possible while keeping the gamesome, yet addictve character of loop-based music creation. The minimalistic graphical user interface was specifically developed for the Game Boy's small screen and has been optimized for keypad operation. Despite the simple design and usage, it provides access to the raw sound synthesis components and allows to create complex musical structures."
Note: I created a Nanoloop label. Prior to this I was just using the Nintendo label. I added the label to a chunk of posts, but not every one as Blogger search in the editor did not bring up all posts. Remember, always check out corresponding labels, in this case Nintendo, for more. Also use the Google search box on the right.
"This is the rare "white face" version of the Arp Odyssey. It was the first version of the Odyssey ever made and has a different sounding filter than the later ones, when they started to rip off Moog. It's a matter of taste, but I greatly prefer this version as it sounds more metallic and industrial. Apparently, so does Trent Reznor as he used it for the synth lead from "The Hand That Feeds." Take a look at it next to a Buchla 200e in the video:[below]. The serial number is 282188"

Hope you dont get sea sick, but is kinda tricky to film and jam at the same time ;)"
"In the spirit of One Sound Every Day, I am starting a new project called One Synthesizer Sound Every Day. My plan is to use hardware synthesizers from my collection (and eventually soft-synths) to produce a sound, musical phrase, or microtrack to share here on ACB every day for a year. As well as my own sounds, I’ll be accepting select sounds from other artists and ACB readers to share on the site in the daily article."
