24HOURS: The Roolz-Gewei

24HOURS: The Roolz-Gewei from Klaus Gstettner on Vimeo.

"This is the first try on a truly unique instrument:
Finding out about Peter Blasser and his beautiful instruments was maybe the major encounter of the last years. Seeing and hearing videos and all available audio on the net was all I needed: I had to get at least one of these outstanding creations that reveal their unique personality from the first moment, so I mailed Peter end of january and was lucky enough to unpack a custom made Roolz-Gewei and a Cocostuber already yesterday night, about 1 1/2 months later.
Thank you so much Peter - they exceeded my expectations already when unpacking them.
Also, thank you Hex and Bartlebooth for getting me started so easily - you are amazig :-)"

RARE Elektron MonoMachine SFX-6 Keyboard Synth

via this auction

"The SFX-6 is a limited edition of the original SFX-60, with an integrated 3-octave LED-action keyboard, MULTI-TRIG key and specialized sound manipulating super-smooth dj-style joystick.

*One important highlight of the SFX-6 model is that it offers six additional MIDI tracks that can be used for controlling external MIDI gear. MIDI control data can be generated realtime, with parameter locks and with LFOs. Each MIDI track offers a full implementation of the Monomachine arpeggiator.

This is a rare item - The keyboard version of the MonoMachine was made by Elektron in a limited run edition of 500 units made worldwide.
Getting harder to find these days. It has the exact same functions as the latest model, with the sole exception of the latest MKII version taking user waveforms. The Latest OS works perfectly with this model, and the unit can also be upgraded by Elektron to include a +Drive."

"The Bug XII" a Folktek Instrument by Ben Houston

via this auction
"This custom piece is part of a folktek series entitled "philanthropoid"". Known simply as the Bug series. Also in the series on the site and around the world is the Mantis, dronescape sequencer, the book of sound, the moth, the growling insect, the bug, the octa-hedra, walking stick, pendulum translator and others. The sound is phenomenol and continues to amaze us. It is a sonic symphony of nasty and grimy sweetness, endless layers of sound possibilities emenating from High quality OSC originally based on high tech speech synthesis. Seemingly random bits can be rediscovered time and time again and then there are those moments that you will most likely never rediscover. Endlessly captivating, this piece WILL provide sounds that you will not find in other synthesizers and will astonish you every time you turn it on.

This particular piece features four patchable knobs, and a twelve point magnetic patchbay. This allows you to determine function and provides tons of flexibility. In addition, two more knobs (global knob control and power kill) , glowing lamp power indicator , 2 folktek button/switches for activate and freeze mode sections, reset, 1/4" output, basic manual of function and layout. You'll be able to cipher through waveforms and textures with extreme sensitivity in thousands of ways. Waveforms (individual, or multiple layers) can be captured and maintained, often intermodulating in beautiful and/or disturbing ways. Super sensitive knobs let you filter through tons of sounds and glitchscapes. Albums are waiting to be created here as the sound is quite different from anything else you'll find.."

#1: The bluebox synthisizer, a short introduction

YouTube Uploaded by dd49ll on Mar 12, 2011

http://digitalsoundchips.com/

"The basic thought of the bluebox is simple. If you want to play different sounds you just hit the triggers like on a drum set. If you want to play different notes then it's just to press the keys like on a piano. And if you want to edit a sound it's just like an old analog synthesizer, you just press the key to listen and turn the knob."

Böhm DDM demo

YouTube Uploaded by discomodulator on Jan 23, 2011

"Böhm "Digital Drums M". Weird German drum machine.
Live and direct from my kitchen table!
Going through the preset rhythms and variations/fills.
The sounds are very 80ies but not bad at all.
I might modify it to get individual outputs to process the sounds further,
also a gate/pulse input to drive the clock would be useful.
thanks for watching!"

"testing this *WEIRD* eBay find...
As you can tell I have no idea of how to operate this thing... got it without a manual and the guys who programmed it were stoned out of their minds.
It's from a German home-organ manufacturer.
sounds very nice in that 80ies way you'd expect.
*cool feature: the "hey" and "aha" samples can be pitched up and down with the tempo slider when the patterns have stopped :)"

Never gigged, neved abused, this set is absolutely faultless in all its functions and the guitar, though made for this synth is also useable as a normal electric guitar (and in fact it's much better than many Strats I've tried so far)... The GR300 still has its original initial protective plastic sheet, so the paintjob is pristine."
