Korg Polysix Analog Synthesizer: MIDI IN, FX Input, FX Bypass

via this auction
"Korg Polysix that has had the battery replaced, traces repaired, and features additional modifications. The keyboard is in tune and functions normally. Additionally, this Polysix features a p6retro MIDI input circuit. There are also two audio jacks that I've added. The left jack is the audio output from the voice board, which truly bypasses the effect board. The other jack is an iput to the effect board, so you can use the Polysix's lush effect board, which features rich analog BBD delay chips for Chorus, Phase, and Ensble effects. On the front panel, there is a switch to route the voice board through either to the effect board or to the voice board output jack. Features:
Battery replaced with standard CR2032
Circuit board traces repaired
p6retro MIDI input
Direct voice board out (FX-board bypass)
External audio input (FX-board input)"

YouTube Uploaded by module19 on Apr 16, 2011

"I have had a lot of folks asking about the Dark Energy and its lack of a square wave from the VCO. Well its possible to make one if you adjust the Pulse width just right. And if you patch the CV2 into the VCO PW input you can user a pitch bender to change over to a triangle as you play :-)"

"*Note: Turn on your subs and turn it up for full awesome bass goodness! Or listen w/ headphones.*

Just got my Gravity Well by Circuit Abbey today. I had to shoot a video. Holy crap this module is awesome! Some real Reznor type shit! Lots of Swarmatron style sounds. all things modular are running into the Gravity Well. You can get so much out of it by just tweaking the level/bias pots! Wogglebug stepped output provides some great clicking which interupts/interacts w/ the bassline running through the Well. Rest of the drums are from the ESX-1 SD."

52 Reason / Record Tips - Week 52: Thor's Modulation Bus and Step Sequencer

YouTube Uploaded by PropellerheadSW on Apr 15, 2011

"It's hard to believe it's been 52 Tips already but now we've all got the Reason/Record chops to prove it! For those of you who have been with me since week one, I'm so proud you came all this way with me. For those of you just coming into the series, boy do you have more goodies to find in our past episodes!

In this final week's Tip I'm going to show you around Thor's final sections: The Modulation Bus and Step Sequencer. With these sections under your belt you'll have completed my multi-week "Synth School" series and hopefully be able to approach custom synth sound design with a whole new bag of tricks.

Now there's nothing else to do but to get out there, use this knowledge, and start making more music than ever before!!!"

"Apple has released iMKS-70 v1.2 for Roland MKS-70 v1.08, a free upgrade for all iMKS-70 v1.1 users.

iMKS-70 v1.2 offers:
- a redesigned look & feel for enhanced readability plus some very tiny UI adjustments to make the workflow even better
- parameter default value buttons. In v1.2, if you touch the parameter value label, it resets the label / slider to a default value (ex: VCO wave = Saw; VCF Freq = wide open, etc...) for each parameter... this is the fastest workflow you'll ever get in sound designing!"
