EML 200 and Sunsyn Demo Video Pt. 1 & 2
YouTube Uploaded by ricel1992 on Jun 7, 2011
New videos for this auction.
"Selling off my EML 200 so I've decided to make a few videos of some pretty nonchalant jams to remember this awesome synth with and to show any potential buyers the tip of the iceberg with this semi-modular synthesizer.
The signal starts of just clean sunsyn then i start patching it in - the EML 200 really brings out any instruments hidden potential. For example, I feel that it really erases any "modern electronic" sound that the sunsyn might have by itself. In essence the sound is made grittier and more vintagey - I like it!
Anyways, check out the auction - pretty sad to have to see this one go
Oh and ignore the crappy playing, I was kinda going for something ambient but I'm not primarily a keys player"

Memory Geist - 'Benthos' (DiNDDL09)
"DiNDDL09| Release date 04/07/11
"Benthos" is the second album by Memory Geist, the collaborative project of Steve Law (of Zen Paradox, Starseed Transmission & Black Cab) and Bakis Sirros (of Parallel Worlds & Interconnected). Their first album "Funereal Cavern" was released in 2007 by the well respected Italian experimental label Musica Maxima Magnetica.
The creation of "Benthos" has been a long process initiated in mid-2007 when Law visited Sirros in his home town of Athens, Greece and the duo recorded some initial material together comprising a variety of soundscapes, sequences, analogue rhythms & organic atmospheres. On his return to Melbourne in Australia, Law sculpted this raw material into a set of 6 tracks which were augmented by further soundscapes, rhythms and arrangement ideas sent across to him by Sirros. The gestation of "Benthos" took 4 years in total and has resulted in the birth of a complex and fascinating ambient electronica album. The pieces range from dark, industrial rhythmic tracks to cosmic style slabs of ambience and showcase the duos use of modular analogue synths alongside computer software manipulation.
info and clips here:
http://www.din.org.uk/din/node/388
the album will soon also be available as a limited edition (100 copies) digipack CD-R from Alio Die's label Hic Sunt Leones.
(for the gear-heads: this album is full of various modular and analogue synths, including ARP 2600, Doepfer A100 / eurorack, Integrator, Serge modular, Technosaurus Selector, Metalbox/CGS, MS50, System-100m, Trident, etc, etc... )"

Alesis A6 Andromeda Synthesizer NOS

description: "This Alesis A6 Andromeda is the last of my several salesman's samples we owned as Alesis southeastern U.S. factory representatives... from their auspicious beginning, during all the glory years in their stratospheric rise to the top of the industry and sadly, in their demise-ending bankruptcy. This A6 has never been sold, never seen a nightclub or studio, never exposed to a smoking environment and has been in dry, temperature and humidity controlled storage all these years. It is in superb and virtually new condition save for a tiny blem in the metal finish shown in pic #5. The factory original carton, packaging and all accessories are included. You are not likely find one in this condition again.
Because this A6 has been in storage for years, as a precaution I just had it gone through by Comprehensive Technical Group in Atlanta, who were one of our best service centers. Service manager Chris Smith himself took pleasure in checking out and tweaking the unit and has pronounced it fully functional with no problems. This unit has received the latest firmware and software updates and is ready to be unleashed to the world. A copy of the CTG service invoice is available on request.
