"This patch was an experiment in using the 4ms Shuffling Clock Multiplier and Rotating Clock Divider to drive the pitch of 3 oscillators tuned to a chord. 3 outputs of the SCM are attenuated to modulate the pitch of the oscillators. The RCD is then used to transpose 2 of them via the bus access module. The RCD is also muting and un-muting the intellijel mutagen to gate each of the 3 oscillators. All are then fed through the TipTop ZDSP with batfilters card, and the Doepfer VC-DSP reverb algorithm."

"Extremely rare RMI KEYBOARD COMPUTER II, recently serviced by Allen Organ. 100% working condition. Serial # 646 (pot codes date to 1975). This RMI KC II shares the same MOS-Board chip array that was recently purchased by the Smithsonian Institution because it was the first application of digital technology in not only musical instrument design but in all industrial manufacturing (1971), even pre-dating the digital calculator by several months. What is amazing is that these MOS boards are still running strong today and serviced by Allen, probably due to their robust military-spec design...very reliable for a vintage synth. This is a ground-breaking instrument and the model for other wavetable synths like the PPG wave. It may look like a combo organ but it is a 10-voice polyphonic digital wavetable synthesizer with IBM punch card reader. 15 original punch cards (choir, gong, horn, sine waves, flutes) are included as well as the original bound service manual with schematics. Flick the Power Switch to 'ON' and the machine will play a short musical melody. Now simply Play around with the Glitch Buttons & Switches to Scramble, Mangle & Glitch out the various waveforms entirely beyond recognition and well into the realms of mind-blowing glitch electronica..... This is music mode, and you can expect to create Mis-formed melodies, Complex Musical Loops, Dis-Embodied tunes and Original Compositions based around fractured pieces of Bleepy Melodies.

Speech Mode - Glitch-Bitch is at her finest when producing electronic Speech.....

To activate Speech mode simply Hold the Green Button for 3 seconds after powering on the machine.

The machine will then proceed to spew out a random cacophony of grainy electronic speech in the form of Random Words, Sentences, Phrases, Letters and Numbers. Once Speech Mode is activated, an array of Switches, Buttons, Knobs and a Light Sensor can be used to Modulate, Glitch, Scramble and Mangle to sound well beyond recognition and often beyond description............

Although the speech is very much random, the pattern is identical every time speech mode is used. This means that will a small amount of practice, performances can be rehearsed and operation quickly becomes intuitive.

"June 17, 2011—Moog Music, a North Carolina-based electronic musical instrument manufacturer, today announced the release of Phatty OS v.3.1, a major firmware upgrade to the very popular and portable Phatty family of analog synthesizers. The upgrade to the Phatty operating system coincides with an aesthetic upgrade for the Little Phatty Stage 2 Edition, as Moog introduces new black sidepieces.

New features in the Phatty OS v3.1 update include the following features that improve power, sound and control:

• Volume Velocity Sensitivity: The ability to map note velocity to output volume with fifteen adjustable levels of sensitivity saved per preset. [Tribute Edition hardware does not currently support this feature]

• Legato Glide: Automatically engage the pitch glide between legato notes. Non-overlapping notes snap instantly to a new pitch. The user is able to play or sequence dynamic bends and slides mixed with cleanly-articulated notes.

• LFO Reset: The ability to reset the LFO cycle at the start of each note. Two LFO trigger modes provide dynamic new modulation possibilities.

• Sustain/Hold Mode: A sustain pedal or control voltage plugged into the CV GATE input jack can now be used to send MIDI Sustain on/off, and to polyphonically sustain MIDI notes from the Phatty keyboard.

• 14-bit MIDI: All Phatty synths can now send and receive high-resolution 14-bit MIDI messages for critical voltage-controlled parameters.

• MIDI Output Filtering: New options control which MIDI CC messages are sent from the Phatty, for maximum compatibility with external gear.

• Expanded MIDI Clock sync options: 22 clock divisions including triplet values for both LFO and Arpeggiator MIDI sync. Clock divisions range from 32nd triplets up to 4 bars.

• Improvements to Arpeggiator:
• Global Arp Setup menu: Set important arpeggiator parameters at a global level. Arpeggiator also remains active when presets are changed.
• Gate Length: Adjust the arpeggiator note length from 50% to greater than 100% (overlapping), for a range of new sonic textures.
• Arp Clock Send: Arpeggiator can now send MIDI Clock, MIDI Start and Stop messages, allowing you to synchronize other gear to the Phatty internal clock.

• Improvements to Polyphonic Mode:
o New polyphonic note-allocation scheme: Uses a "round-robin" algorithm to share notes across multiple Phatty synths in a natural and very playable way.
o Polyphonic arpeggiation: Multiple ways to use the Arpeggiator across a poly chain of Phatty synths, from tight integration to completely freeform.

Availability and pricing: The Phatty OS v.3.1 Update is a free Firmware upgrade for all Phattys: Little Phatty Tribute, Stage 1, 2, and the Slim Phatty.
