M-Z3R0 - circuit bent yamaha DD8 + K-filter V2

Listen to this one evolve.
"An old DD8 i did back in 2009. Out and about to demo the K filter processing drums,,,,,"

M-Z3R0 filters on eBay

"The M-Z3R0 - K-FILTER is a high quality analogue resonant low pass filter FX unit.

This is a progression on my earlier K-filter. This filter now has a pre-amp section which has allowed me to add filter overdrive,

gain reducer control and amp input level. Combined with the standard cutoff/resonance controls they turn this into an interesting fx unit

for mashing up drum loops or adding a 'bit crusher' style effect to sounds.

Add this to any piece of equipment and it immediately takes it to a whole new level in audio diversity.

Even a childs keyboard can sound like a good analogue synth through one of these, as the link shows."

Almost all custom patches (there's the Subtractor "Glass Organ" patch for the keyboard solo, layered with some custom patches though), all original note data (no web download of MIDI files). Yamaha D85 organ/synth CHOPPED same PASS tech like CS80

via this auction
"modified into what You see now by PRO technician, the organ weight is around 100lbs now( Yamaha YC-45 is 136lbs, CS80 290lbs). Yamaha D85 is basically model the E-70 [video just posted here], top line at that time, made in 1977, with the addition of a rhythm sequencer, digital tempo readout, more rhythm variations, as well as Vocal and String Ensembles and 3rd keybed as a synth!!!. You can mix not only different waves, but You can mix keybeds. 3rd small keyboard has phenomenal synth sounds by itself plus AFTERTOUCH!!!, but if You mix with sounds of 2 orchestral presets and active orchestral waves... fattest I've ever heard. Also You can mix 2nd and lower keyboard in any possible way and even to add bass pedal orchestral sounds. D85 was top-of-the-line home console model that used Yamaha's "Pulsed Analog Synthesis System" (PASS) to create more lifelike sounding instruments. PASS took technology from the GX-1 and incorporated it into a consumer model instrument. The ramifications revolutionized the organ industry. Instruments voices began evolving towards emulating the true orchestral instruments rather than theater organ equivalents. Same technololy applied to Famous Yamaha CS80. Strings and voices beat ARP Solina and probably better then on CS80( I had one for a while)and of course much better than YC series including YC30 or YC 45D. Unit has also arpeggiator in 6 variations, sequencer, hold effect and tons of other feature included stupid drum machine. Yamaha D85 is certainly better than YC 45D and this particular one even weights less on 30lbs."

The touch surface span the entire width of the device now. This will allow you to play more notes and it will also spread out some scales.
An erase button was added so that you can erase any mistakes when you record live.

The SCALE option was moved to the SETTINGS view to streamline the design."

SON OF GX 01 - Modded Programmable Yamaha E70 Organ Synthesizer

YouTube Uploaded by Marcjeparkje on May 7, 2011

"This has been discussed on the internet for years and now it's real. I customized my Yamaha E-70 to have 3 programmable Orchestra sections. So 2 polyphonic and one monophonic bass pedal synth in a beautiful package. Only a similarly customized EX-1 could top this. So if you do not have the money for a Yamaha GX-1 or a CS-80 this might be a nice alternative."

Polycheesy GX-800 demo.avi

YouTube Uploaded by Marcjeparkje on May 7, 2011

"No normal man can afford to own the synth of all synths: the Yamaha GX-1. So I decided to get creative. This is what I came up with

It's a Yamaha CSY-1, Yamaha's first organ with an integrated analog synth. It actually contains GX1 technology.

I made the synth fully programmable and exchanged the lower keyboard for a Korg Poly 800 . So now this isntrument contains an organ,a fully programmable monosynth with aftertouch and a polyphonic synth!

This is just an improvisation but it gives an impression of what the isntrument can do.

The Polycheesy name comes from the row of yellow modulation wheels on the programmer. Bad joke, I know."

Akai VX-600 Vintage Analog Synth

via this auction

"This VX-600 is in fantastic condition. It's a 6 Voice analog synth with a rich sound that draws a lot of comparisons to the Oberheim Xpander. It has deep modulation matrix and is capable of some really amazing stuff. Barely a scratch on it. Passes all tuning/calibration. Works perfectly. I think the EL Foil on the display works fine because I can read it clearly and adjust the contrast etc. Comes with a very rare BR-16 memory card which has a bunch of sounds loaded on it."

The original Drumulator stock sound set was gritty, lo-fi, 12-bit samples of basic drum sounds, which become a classic in many songs of the 80s. MPC ELECTRONICS MPC1 VINTAGE ANALOGUE DRUM MACHINE 1982

via this auction

"MPC Electronics MPC-1 analogue drum machine from 1982. These are very uncommon - an English drum computer... It's capable of some great sounds, and is one of the less-used analogue drum machines: it's been likened to an 808 sonically, and whilst that's not far off the mark, I think its strength is that it isn't an 808 (which has been used/sampled/replicated to death) - it represents a chance to stand out from the crowd. It certainly has a unique physical presence and wow-factor.
Individual outs also make it very tweakable mix-wise, as do the various onboard tweaks for individual sounds."

Cwejman PH-4

via this auction

"It's a 4 phase frequency generator that can work brilliantly for very slow LFOs up to audio rate oscillation. It has 4 outputs of the same waveform, but at different phase points which are 0 degrees, 90, 180 and 270. The 4 phase outputs are great for very organic modulations of different functions when used at audio rate as a modulator and as a very slow modulation source. Tracks at 1 volt per octave Switchable between sine and triangle waveforms, offset control (very useful) and CV control over the rate, offset AND level.

This is really well thought out module and is a compliment to any modular system."
