"This makes a great output module for a Eurorack system and you get a whole lot of top-quality VCAs in a flexible configuration. The L/R "main" VCAs have switchable lin/log response curves and can be coupled to the panning circuit at the flip of a switch. The pan circuit can be totally independent and has it's own level VCA, while the L/R channels each have an additional "amount" VCA that makes them perfect for FM indexing and the like.
It's really flexible and sounds great, I'm only selling it because I just got a Double Andore for my output stage and would like to use this money to pick up a 4ms VCA Matrix for weird CV feedback loops."

Studio Electronics Omega Code 8 Polyphonic demo - Arp 2600 and CS80 filters

YouTube Uploaded by CoolColJ on Aug 4, 2011

"When I touch the big knob under the screen I'm changing the filter type or tweaking filter parameters for the CS80 filter

I picked up a fully loaded 4 month old Code 8 this week, with 8 Arp 2600 and 8 CS80 filters! I was up late last night playing it for hours....

Sounds a bit like an Oberheim OBX. When you turn on all the waveforms it will saturate a bit, so it's not super clean like everyone says.

Filter demo here

"Studio Electronics Omega Code8 Filter demo

A dual Sawtooth sequence
Order of filters - Moog, Arp2600, CS80, SEM LPF, SEM BPF, SEM HPF, SEM Band reject
then CS80 with it's High pass filter engaged and tweaked.

Then more normal playing with the filters in the same order more or less"

And CS80 filter demo

"Studio Electronics Code 8 CS80 filter demo

A little different from the ones posted from other people. I mix in the High Pass filter halfway through, with resonance on max. Not unlike the Andromeda's 12db filter in sound in some ways"

Arp2600 filter demo

"Someone requested a solo Arp2600 filter demo on the Code 8
here it is - there is some delay added, just to make it less boring

Single sawtooth, legato and glide some VCO2 to filter crossmodulation, sub-oscillator, then dual sawtooth

Soundcloud processing makes it a bit fuzzy - 24 bit original file download available"

Pink Floyd: Live at Pompeii - Director's cut

Pink Floyd: Live at Pompeii is a 1972 film featuring Pink Floyd performing six songs in the ancient Roman amphitheatre in Pompeii, Italy. It was directed by Adrian Maben and recorded in the month of October with 24 studio-quality tracks without a live audience.
The performances of "Echoes," "A Saucerful of Secrets," and "One of These Days" were filmed from October 4, 1971 to October 7, 1971. The remaining songs were filmed in a Paris studio, along with additional front projection footage for insertion into the Pompeii performances. The sequences in Paris were filmed in late 1971/early 1972, and can be distinguished by the absence of Richard Wright's beard. This version was released in cinemas in September 1972 and is also included on the DVD edition as an extra feature.
In August 1974, another version was released combining the original film with supposed recording sessions of The Dark Side of the Moon at Abbey Road Studios. These sessions were actually staged for the film[citation needed], as the recording of the album had been completed when these sessions were filmed in January 1973 and the band was mixing the album at the time.

Track listing - 2003 Director's cut
02:13 1. "Echoes, Part 1"/"On the Run" (Studio Footage) (Uncredited) (from Meddle/The Dark Side of the Moon, 1971/1973)
19:54 2. "Careful with That Axe, Eugene" (B-side of "Point Me at the Sky" single, 1968)
27:59 3. "A Saucerful of Secrets" (from A Saucerful of Secrets, 1968)
4. "Us and Them" (Studio Footage) (from The Dark Side of the Moon, 1973)
44:51 5. "One of These Days I'm Going to Cut You into Little Pieces" (also known as "One of These Days", from Meddle, 1971)

7. "Brain Damage" (Studio Footage) (from The Dark Side of the Moon, 1973)

Eventide Stompboxes Controlled From Modular Synth...

YouTube Uploaded by Cranda11 on Oct 22, 2011

"This video demonstrates using a simple custom cable to enable one to control Eventide stompboxes (or pretty much any digital stompbox) with a modular synth via the expression pedal port.

The cable consists of a mono 1/4" jack, wired to two jacks of whatever flavor your modular synth is. Just connect the tips only (not the sleeves) of all three jacks. Plug the 1/4" jack in to the Eventide pedal's Expression Pedal port, and the two other jacks in to the in and out of a VCA in your modular synth. Then you can send CV to the CV-In of the VCA, and this will control the pedal as if it were an expression pedal.

"Here is very cool two channels analog drum synthesizer, produced in USSR. The synth works wery well, but has few cosmetic marks, which not affect on overall impression. Each channel have tone and noise generators with different tweakable parameters, like pitch, attack, release, click, noise cutoff, trigger sensetivity, volume out, etc. Trigger inputs and mono audio out are 5din, but adapters for standart 1\4 jack are included. This synth has really warm and clean analog sound of 80-s."

Korg SQ-10 analog sequencer

"The mythic Korg analog sequencer from the MS series you can run successfully the MS-10, MS-20, MS-50 synths and if you have a modified with inputs early Korg’s like 700,800dv,770 you will discover another dimension from these early beast.

This sequencer is designed to run with V/hz scale so you can run the Yamaha analogs too, and other brands using V/hz scale.

You can drive V/oct scales too, like Moog’s, Arp’s and modern modular, etc.. you need a scale converter.

Very groovy sequencer, with lot of feeling and possibilities. 3x rows of 12 steps. You can choose the reset step patching the individual gate output, and triggering all you want with the trigs. You can patch the third row to control the clock in, making extra long sequences. You have an individual glide/portamento control for row A and B. You can modify the pulse width in real time, making very interesting results in live performances! And many features.."

Animoog Taurus Bass, compared to Moog Little Phatty and Arturia Minimoog V

YouTube Uploaded by 66pbass on Oct 21, 2011

"Animoog Taurus bass impression, compared with "Taurus" presets from the Moog Little Phatty, and Arturia Minimoog V. $1 vs. $1300 vs. $200.

First thing I worked on with the Moog Animoog iPad app, was programming a passable Taurus-type bass sound(two saws, octave apart, detuned slightly). There is mojo coming from both the Little Phatty and Arturia Minimoog that I couldn't capture, but I feel like this'll do a pretty good job in a pinch.

To program the sound, this is what I found:
1. Build off of a static saw Timbre. "StaticFatSaw1" is good. Putting a "Sine" wave, or "OctaveSaw" in the Timbre slot next to it gives some good variation moving around on the X/Y pad.

2. The key for me to getting the vibe in the right ballpark was forcing the synth into mono operation, and using the "Detune" control to separate the saw into two separate octaves. This can be accomplished in two ways I've found:
-(preferable) "Unison" set to "4", "Detune" set to approximately "8", and ONLY use the Left audio output from the iPad(I used the "tip" side only of a stereo 1/8" TRS to dual mono 1/4" TS cable, coming out of the headphone jack)
- "Unison" set to "2", and "Detune" very slightly under "10". This'll sound alright coming out of the iPad speaker, but is less flexible, and would be difficult to perform with.

3. all Orbit, Path, Delay settings to "0"

4. approx. fiter settings: Drive "10", Env. "0", Freq "5.3", Res. "1" - maxing out the filter "Drive" seemed to be a key to getting the right amount of "spit" in the sound with the filter wide open.

5. approx. Thick settings: Crush "0", Drive "2.5"

6. I zeroed out all Mods, except for one, that makes the poly-pressure open up the filter freq:
- Source off, amount "0"
- Control poly-pressure, amount "+33"
- Destination: filter-freq

7. Setting the KB scale to "Chromatic" with "Mono" and "Legato" makes the on screen keyboard act as I would expect. "Cor" at "10", "Glide" around 45%.

All three Synths recorded straight into Steinberg MR816csx. Levels adjusted slightly, no additional post processing."
