A film by Jeff Gustafson. Last July, while working on the Twelve Full Moons album, I found myself on the Salt Flats. The P-51, F4 and Power Plant chopper were used in a Breitling watch ad. The sights sounds around the shoot were captured with a Zoom recorder and horribly abused with Kaoss pads, looped, slowed down and run backwards. The HP sine wave generators make an appearance along with Moog and Pigtronix ring modulators.

devi ever CONSOL II cartridge based multi-fx unit KICKSTARTER

YouTube Published on May 31, 2012 by devieverfx

http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/deviever/console-ii-cartridge-based-multi-fx-guitar-pedal

"...SO... What is the Console II? Well, it's a pretty simple concept. We have a base guitar effect box in which you insert fx cartridges to mix and match your favorite effects. The only limit is to what can fit on the cartridge, and thankfully with the miniaturization of electronic parts, we're able to fit a lot on there!

From fuzz, to delay, to modulation, to even DSP based effects, the Console II will allow you to take a bag full of your favorite pedals anywhere and mix and match them more easily than having to deal with cables and power supplies and bulky enclosures.

Once again we have the brilliant mind behind INFANEM, Ken S. doing amazing engineering work on this project from the custom cartridge enclosure to the elegant blend circuit on the console itself, as well as miniaturizing circuits to fit onto the portable cartridges.

The best thing about building guitar fx this way is that we will be able to offer fx at a more reasonable price without having to go over-seas or sacrifice production quality!..."

"For sale is a legendary Synton Fenix I modular analog synthesizer. These are very rare and only 75 were ever made. This one is fully functional and in excellent shape. Front and back look mint, some light rack scratches on the side. Lightly used in smoke free home studio and never had any functionality issues. Need to raise funds for some necessary studio upgrades. This is an awesome sounding synth, with a unique character, very versatile and loads of features in a small package. Aphex Twin used it for Chosen Lords Fenix Funk. See pictures below for more details. Includes power supple, and a couple dozen banana patch cables to get you going. If you are considering another modular like a Serge, Buchla, Arp 2600, this one is worth checking out and is equally powerful, along with being much rarer. Thousands of 2600's are out there, but only 75 Fenix I's. Don't miss out!"

"For those unfamiliar, this is a monophonic synthesizer and was among the first synthesizers to offer the ability to store presets. The unit can store 8 presets at one time using battery backed memory.

This particular unit has recently been calibrated and has had a new battery installed. Everything seems to be working great, although there may be the occasional crackle from a potentiometer.

The only issue that should me mentioned is that this OB-1 at one point was modified for use with some kind of sequencer. The modifications have been removed but there is a small hole in the front where a toggle switch had been mounted and a 1/4" hole in the back where a jack had been mounted. Both of these holes can easily be plugged. The front hole had been marked and the legending should be easily removable. There is also a balanced output installed to the back with a balancing transformer..."

Timorianne by Takla Makan aka Oakley Sound

"Timorianne is the latest album from Takla Makan.

The 47 minute album features four tracks comprising of two long pieces with many variations and two shorter ones. The final track, one of the shorter ones, is as close to a conventional song as Takla Makan are probably going to ever do.

Timorianne follows on from where Kirkcarrion left off. It's mostly an instrumental album but I make no apologies for using vocals, both recorded and samples, in my work. The human voice is a remarkable instrument and I like to use it often.

The album was recorded over a period from May 2011 to April 2012. As usual there is a mixture of real and virtual analogue synthesisers as well as a 'small' collection of VST devices used within the framework of Ableton Live 8.

Timorianne can be pronounced as you wish. When I made up the word, and make it up I did, I heard it in my head as 'tim-mor-ree-ann'.

The cover artwork shows the River Orwell at the end of a lovely day in August 2011.

Audio Plugin Generator - APG Composer for iOS

Note: Auction links are affiliate links for which the site may be compensated. "This app combines a 3-voice FM synthesizer with an implementation of the Logique Analogique sequencer, which triggers notes when a weighted sum of different signals exceeds a threshold.

The app was created from a Simulink* model without writing app-specific code, using the Audio Plugin Generator source code. For more information, please visit our website."

"The Audio Plugin Generator is a great prototyping tool for audio algorithms, allowing to create VST plugins within minutes. Plugins are generated in an automated process from Simulink models, which enables DSP engineers to develop algorithms using a clean and easily understandable representation.

The generated VST plugins give access to parameters and signals of the underlying model. This means that parameters can be tuned in real-time and signals can be analyzed graphically. Furthermore, signals can be logged to a file, which can be used for offline analysis and easy creation of test cases."

"This extremely rare piece is the single 'DRUM' channel from the famed DRM and Syncussion series of analog drum synthesizers made by MAM / Vermona. It is also comparable to the new 'Kick Lancet' from Vermona as you'll notice that other than the additions of Time, Noise, and Wave it has the same controls (Distortion is now called Balls). It was designed to deliver solid analog kick drums which it does with ease, covering the range from bass heavy sponginess to clicking hard edged thumps. It also produces some unmistakable mono synth type effects and basses with the decay set long. Identical to its full sized counterparts, the DRUM channel has eight knobs to model your tones: Decay, Pitch, Bend, Attack, FM Int, FM Freq, Distortion, and Volume. There is also a manual trigger on the front so you can tweak your sound and hear the results in real time without any need for a computer or external trigger. On the back it has a mono output, midi in, and power in. It responds to Midi note on / off and velocity; there is no patch memory or presets - only tweak as you go analog goodness! Enjoy"

Model 266 TV: Mark Verbos & Source of Uncertainty Buchla Synth Fair

Model 266 TV: Mark Verbos from harvestworks on Vimeo.

Last few days to donate now: Source of Uncertainty Buchla Concerts and Modular Synth Fair

"The Model 266 series of programs features interviews with pioneering and contemporary musicians working with legendary Buchla synthesizers, as part of Source of Uncertainty. This segment features Buchla tech Mark Verbos.

Mark Verbos (NYC) is a music producer, mixer, and analog synthesizer technician. Heavily involved in electronic dance music, Mark's releases have spanned the genres of techno, rock, acid, house, pop, and electro. Mark has been involved with Buchla synthesizers since a young age, repairing modules under the technician and designer, Grant Richter. Since then he has become the go-to expert for Buchla repair and modifications. Although Mark performs on multiple Buchla machines, this performance will feature solely the 200 and 200e.

These programs are produced in relation to Source of Uncertainty, a pair of concerts organized by Harvestworks, ((audience)) and River-to-River Festival, taking place on June 28th, 2012 and July 7, 2012.

Model 266 is hosted by Alexis Bhagat and produced by Abby Echiverri."

"This was releases [sic.] just one year before the CS-80, its just a smaller version of what came after it. Its 4 voice, 49 key with aftertouch sensitivity that can control many features. The sound is amazing, one of my favorites for years. Even the 13 presets with a little ring mod sound great!"

The CS60 added four voices for a total of eight, the ribbon controller and the single mini slider patch memory on the top left.
