STUDIO ELECTRONICS C.O.D.E. 4 with AMP Overdrive

via this auction

"Studio Electronics C.O.D.E. 4 voice Analog synthesiser with AMP OVERDRIVE

The C.O.D.E. is the flagship of Studio electronics and represents the last development of the Omega series on which it is based. The C.O.D.E. is mainly intended to be used in studio and with sequencers, rather than for keyboard players. Compared to the Omega, one of the key new features on the C.O.D.E. is the filter control section, which allows you to sweep through all the filter types in real time with complete MIDI control. The switches in the Filter Control section give momentary control of assignable parameters.

This 4 voice polyphonic synthesizer (can be expanded up to 8 voices), four part multitimbral stereo analog synthesizer is based on discrete circuits. The C.O.D.E. comes factory-fitted with a Moog filter and an SEM filter (Oberheim) on each voice. Another two optional filter boards (TB303, Arp2600 or CS80) can be added per voice. The filters can be completely controlled per MIDI. As with the Omega serie, the C.O.D.E. offers 128 Multimode patches and 512 Factory Presets.

This version comes with the following extras :

overdrive on all voices (warm and fuzzy classic analog amp overdrive for each stereo voice),
discrete opamps on all voices (each voice is much puncher and clearer before it gets routed through the mixer),
Midiminiafy on voice 1 and 2 (adds a pure sinewave and a discrete moog VCA).

On demand, I can downgrade this model to 2 voices and decrease the price consequently. Let me know if you are interested."

Vintage 1970's Univox KORG K-2 Analog Synth SN 00164

"This is a once in a lifetime find. A vintage 1970's Univox K-2 Analog Synthesizer. Keys are all in perfect shape, all knobs are in perfect shape with none missing. In fact, the only things really keeping this from being in truly "mint" shape would be that it's missing the "Mini-Korg" badge from the top, and the wood sides have some very light scratching. This is most likely one of the nicest condition K2's in existence. I've taken TONS of high resolution pictures so please take a look and judge the condition for yourself!

This thing is seriously amazing. The amount of different sounds, effects, bass and lead tones this can create are incredible. 37-key synth with all sorts of effects including different wave patterns - sine, square, saw and two chorus waves. Switches include expand, bright, sustain, bender, repeat, vibrato, delay vibrato and portamento. Attack and decay (percussion) sliders as well as traveler (envelope / wah effect). Main top selector has 6 different effects - duet, modulator 1, modulator 2, modulator 3, noise 1 and noise 2. The two sliders control the volume and balance of the effects, and the three switches turn the effects on, enable super-long sustain tones and vibrato.

The most important thing is this keyboard sounds as good as it looks. All functions have been checked and work like they're supposed to. All sliders have been cleaned and sound scratch-free. All dials and knobs are original and none are missing. None of the keys have been broken or fixed. Even the paint shows hardly any wear! This is truly in outstanding condition - you won't be disappointed.

This is an incredibly rare keyboard and even more so in this shape! Last one of these listed on ebay sold for $800 and was in nowhere near as good a condition as this one."

Vermona Mono Lancet Monophonic Analog Synthesizer SN D07202

Note: Auction links are affiliate links for which the site may be compensated. via this auction

"True greatness comes from within! The Mono Lancet is a compact synthesizer with a big sound, with an uncomplicated user interface and lots of charm.

Oscillators
Two analogue oscillators ensure a solid sound foundation. Oscillator one creates triangle-, sawtooth- and square waves and can be set one octave lower than the second oscillator. The latter produces white noise instead of the triangle wave.
The pulse width can be modulated via the modulation wheel (MIDI) and/or an external control voltage source (see “Extension”). The glide generator has a legato mode or (alternatively) can remain permanently active.

Filter
The voltage controlled lowpass filter has a slope of 24db per octave. On high resonance settings it self-oscillates, producing a stable sine wave that can be played in a range of about 2 ½ octaves. Using MIDI the cutoff frequency can be controlled by velocity and/or aftertouch.

Amplifier
There’s a strong VCA inside the Mono Lancet that can be modulated by the ADSR or a fixed organ-like envelope. On demand it can additionally respond to velocity.

Modulation
The classical ADSR envelope generator can modulate the VCO- and VCF frequency and the VCA. The LFO offers rectangle and triangle as well as sample & hold and is a modulation source for VCF and VCO.

Extension
There’s a 25pin sub-D connector on the rear of the Mono Lancet. The optional “Mono Lancet Modular Dock” widens the potential of the synthesizer enormously through numerous in- and outputs for control voltages and audio signals. PWM and filter inputs are just two of these.

AM8075SE Athena VCF

AM8075SE Athena VCF Demo by AMSynths
via AMSynths
"Back in the 2004 I replicated the ARP 4075 VCF module using exactly the same design and sold a few PCB's to customers as the AM4075. I also licensed the design to Bananalogue, and you can still buy these modules on eBay all these years later. The licensing deal enabled me to buy a new PC and greatly speeded up my design work, which is all done in Eagle CAD. Whilst the filter sounded good, I wanted to improve and simplfy the design when I started up AMSynths. I also wanted to use slider potentiometers and introduce a HPF - the idea of a Special Edition version (SE) was born.

Athena The AM8075SE filter is the first module to be launched as part of a complete modular analog monosynth. VCO, VCA, ADSR etc will all follow. Athena is the greek god of inspiration.

The Special Edition At the end of 2011 I had a new prototype on the test bench, implemented with matched transistor pairs, reworked LM3900 power supply and cut out the rejection trimming circuit as this was no longer needed with matched transistors. Op Amp buffers before and after the filter core were added, as the one complaint from the original AM4075 was that it was rather quiet as it had no buffer circuits and worked best on 10V audio signals.

I added a 1-pole high pass filter based on the classic Roland OTA circuit rather than the awful design in the Odyssey. Slider potentiometers are used through out and after some adjustments to work on 12V power the VCF sounds fantastic! The matched arrays make a great improvement along with using high quality filter capacitors. The slider caps are the same as in the Odyssey Mark 1 and 2, and they will appear through out the Athena synthesizer (and yes I do have pink caps!).

The moudle went into production in July 2012 and the first batch sold out quickly. Further batches will be manufactured, as there are no rare parts to find.

AMSynths Panel The panel is professionally manufactured in 1.6mm thick alumnium in Germany with black lettering. The module is EuroRack sized and fully compatible with many other EuroRack modular synthesizer systems such as Doepfer."

It's a "resonator" module and "driver" module. I don't know exactly how to use them or connect them, you can see them below in the screenshot.

There are some more modules that never made it into the G2, I tried some of them, but not all seem to work. Maybe because they don't exist in the G2 firmware, or maybe I haven't formatted the message correctly.

Sequential Circuits Pro-One SN 4845

Note: Auction links are affiliate links for which the site may be compensated. via this auction

"In Excellent condition, reconditioned by a synth tech in July 2012

This is a Sequential Pro-One vintage analogue monophonic synthesiser in wonderful cosmetic condition and full working condition. This is the version you want, a late J-wire version, meaning it has the transformer bolted to the chassis, as opposed to the later models that had it bolted to the circuit board, and the J-wire keyboard. And to boot, check out the images below, I’m selling it complete with a ‘just in case’ accessories kit from Wine Country Sequential’, including the manual and service manual – I doubt you’ll see such an opportunity come by on eBay for quite some time, if ever.

When I obtained the synthesiser some years ago, the keyboard action was really sloppy; it turned out that the little rubber key contacts had turned brittle and hard, something that’s very common. And so I obtained replacements via Wine Country Sequential in California and replaced the lot – it’s laborious but not too difficult. The keyboard action is now wonderful!

As the pictures below will indicate, I had the Pro-One recently checked out by a synth technician, and in my opinion I used one of the finest in this country, Lucid Sounds based in Cornwall, UK.. If you have heard of the VEMIA auctions that are run bi-annually, then you will be familiar with that name, because Lucid repairs and overhauls probably about 80% of the items that end up being auctioned! He is a very talented guy, and I feel privileged to have been lucky enough to have him look at this item. As you’ll see via the invoice (a copy of which will be sent to the winning bidder), there were just a few minor things that needed attention, and Lucid tested the machine for a whole 3 hours – no problems! :-)

On a personal note, I think the Pro-One is one of the finest from the vintage era, and totally underrated. Vince Clarke loves this thing, and I particularly love what Add N to (X) do with it (check out their track ‘Revenge of the Black Regent’ for a very powerful bassline). And then there’s the sequencer – an amazing package."
