"The case was designed and built by Gareth Hill of Services in Wood, Greenwood Lake, NY. The retail price was over $150.
The case was made from a single, solid piece of Maple, milled inside to fit an OP-1, and formed, sanded and finished on the outside with a satin finish. It has two recessed hinges that allow the case to close almost completely flush, except for one corner that has a 2mm gap. Gareth lined it with a 3mm black foam, but this can be removed if you want to substitute felt or something else.
The case is a very snug fit and since it's been in my house in northern California, the maple has swelled up a bit and the OP-1 no longer fits completely inside. Some sanding on the part of the new owner should allow the OP-1 to snugly slide in again. It fits so snugly, Gareth designed one corner with a circular clearance so a lanyard around the OP-1 could be used to pull it out.
It is a beautiful piece of wood measuring 13 x 5.5 x 2 inches on the outside. The interior compartment, without the foam liner, is almost 11-3/8 x 4 x .75 inches deep.
It feels and smells great, and with a little work could once again be a snug and elegant home for an OP-1.
And no, the OP-1 does not come with - this auction is for the custom case only."

it sounded incredible!!! you can layer all the sounds together for some super fat synth odysseys

I tried to play it immediately, the sound started around middle-c and descended slowly, nothing I did changed the sound that was coming out. So I unplugged it before it blew my speakers as the sound continued to get lower, and put it in storage, always intending to have it repaired / restored at some point. Now, I think it's best just to let it go to someone who can restore it / resell it or restore it for themselves."

"True greatness comes from within! The Mono Lancet is a compact synthesizer with a big sound, with an uncomplicated user interface and lots of charm.
Oscillators
Two analogue oscillators ensure a solid sound foundation. Oscillator one creates triangle-, sawtooth- and square waves and can be set one octave lower than the second oscillator. The latter produces white noise instead of the triangle wave. The pulse width can be modulated via the modulation wheel (MIDI) and/or an external control voltage source (see “Extension”). The glide generator has a legato mode or (alternatively) can remain permanently active.
Filter
The voltage controlled lowpass filter has a slope of 24db per octave. On high resonance settings it self-oscillates, producing a stable sine wave that can be played in a range of about 2 ½ octaves. Using MIDI the cutoff frequency can be controlled by velocity and/or aftertouch.
Amplifier
There’s a strong VCA inside the Mono Lancet that can be modulated by the ADSR or a fixed organ-like envelope. On demand it can additionally respond to velocity.
Modulation
The classical ADSR envelope generator can modulate the VCO- and VCF frequency and the VCA. The LFO offers rectangle and triangle as well as sample & hold and is a modulation source for VCF and VCO.
Extension
There’s a 25pin sub-D connector on the rear of the Mono Lancet. The optional “Mono Lancet Modular Dock” widens the potential of the synthesizer enormously through numerous in- and outputs for control voltages and audio signals. PWM and filter inputs are just two of these.

Being one of the first certified trainers for Ableton Live, she's known for inventive programming and integration of Live into some major touring shows. Doors have opened for her combination of skills as a talented violinist and hardcore programmer, working with Kanye West, Bon Ivor, Herbie Hancock and Garbage as recent and repeat clients.
Laura also release and produces under her own right, when she came to our new studios in Bath, she performed a couple of tunes for us live in between chatting to Gaz Williams about her work and technology.

Just recently took it out and was used to record some techno tracks for the Decibel festival 2012. Works perfectly. It is Version 4.1 and has the 32 banks of memory and blue led's as well as the reconditioning of pots and keys. Comes with manuals and cv cables. Standard TB-303's in average condition sell for $1800-2000 currently on ebay. The Devil Fish mod with the works will cost you $2200 including shipping. That totals $4000-4200!!!" "Please be aware this is a mini keyboard and measures 19" long (approx. width of rack equipment) by a little over 6". As far as the sound goes, I played this back to back with my cs 5 and it not only stands up to it, there's hardly any noticeable difference. It's that fat!
This CS-01 has been used in our personal studio and it sounds very nice. It has a very huge bass, lots of VCO waveforms, and it's absolutely fun to play.
Functional drawback: The volume knob does not work for adjusting volume. When the volume knob is turned (acting as a switch to turn on the CS) , the volume is then at a fixed (invariable) level, which is a level nearly ideal for playing (like if the volume knob where set around one o'clock). Also, the VCO 'Feet' switch is susceptible to static when the position is not aligned correctly (which is typical of these slider type switches), however this is easily resolved with a second of finesse, the sound being warm and wonderful through out playing. Carefully view the photos to get a good idea to the items cosmetic condition. Cosmetic blemishes worth noting: There is a very small ding in the last key on the right (it's tiny) and on the bottom there is some scratches in the plastic. The internal speaker is functioning very well as sounds great. Everything, save for what has been previously described, is fully functioning."

"Here is a demo of a quick house song I made while checking out what the new "Nitro" effects processor added in the new OS update is all about. Nitro is, or can be, many different types of effects depending on how you set it. As a base description it is a resonant bandpass filter with an envelope follower. You can use it as the following modes:
- Lowpass Filter (sounds like 12db to me)
- Highpass Filter (same sounding slope)
- Bandpass Filter
- Auto Wah
- Sine Generator
The envelope follower affects each filter in a different amount it seems with the Lowpass filter getting more of the frequency sweep (to my ears only, not proven). I am thrilled to finally be able to remove the low end frequencies from patches and particularly audio samples. You could always do this with the main bus EQ, but now you can target specific drum kits and synth engines as you lay them down to tape tracks. This was the single biggest omission from the OP-1 OS for me and now it is here and awesome!

"Demonstration of the Doepfer Dark Time sequencing two Moog Little Phatties via control voltage. The first LP sends a MIDI signal to the second LP without sending CCs so I can transpose the entire sequence on its keyboard but change the filters and modulations independently. The audio is routed to a Moog MF-103, Moog MF-104Z, Vermona PH-16, T-Rex Room-Mate and a Maxon AD999. Mixed on an Allen & Heath ZED-436.
