"This was Hammond's top of the line, flagship model circa 1974. It's their most sophisticated and the last model they made. This was originally intended to sit on top of a Hammond Organ.

There are 16 styles, each with 4 variations. You can set it to automatic variation mode, where it will cycle through each of the four variations. You can select how often the pattern changes from 1/2 measure, 1, 2, 4, 8 or 16 measures. Or you can leave it in manual variation mode and select the variations with the four lighted A/B/C/D buttons.

The drum sounds are analog. They include a number of Latin percussion sounds. The beats are Waltz, 6/8 March, 4/4 March / Polka, Western / Shuffle, Ballad, Dixieland, Jazz, Blues/Rock, Hard Rock, Liverpool, Samba, Bossa Nova, Cha Cha, Rhumba/Beguine, Tango, and Afro-Latin. You can also press down more than one of the beat buttons at a time to combine beats together. It is not, however, programmable. All beats are hardwired from the factory.

Tempo and volume have front panel knobs. There is a Sound/Silent switch. You can also plug a footswitch into the rear panel jack. Also on the back is a balance control and the 1/4" mono output. This output can be plugged into a guitar amp (which is how I tested it), or PA, as well as connected to an organ.

It has a light scratch on the top and some other minor wear. It is in good working condition. It's case is real Walnut hardwood."

The Acidlab Miami is an Analog drumcomputer based on the circuits of the world famous 808.

The sound circuitry of the Miami is identical with the 808 and has been realized using present-day components. Its sounds closely match the original 808.

Parameter ranges (Tone, Decay, ... )

The parameter ranges are, with the exception of the Bass Drum, the same as those of the original 808.

"I've released a new Ableton Live Collection and 4 track 'Wind Chime Ambience EP,' all created with samples from beautifully hand-crafted-and-tuned metallic wind chimes. The Ableton Live Pack includes 5 Instrument Racks, 4 Drum Racks, 4 Effect Racks, plus 10 additional presets. These Ableton Racks are quite diverse and easily manipulated with macro knobs. A couple of the instruments use wind chime samples that were recorded directly to reel to reel tape, adding to the organic feel.

Also included are the Live Projects for each of the 4 tracks on the 'Wind Chime Ambiece EP.' This gives full access to how the tracks were created and how the different instruments can be manipulated to create a wide variety of sounds."

"In the first half of the video I played the Crumar Multiman dry, in the second half with a COMPACT PHASING "A" from Gerd Schulte Audio Elektronik. The Compact Phasing A is a German phaser, which was well known in the seventies (at least in Germany). Many units were sold, but it is rare and sought after today. It was used by Klaus Schulze, Tangerine Dream, Kraftwerk and others.

This Crumar Multiman is the first version (later came the Multiman S versions which are larger). It was produced in Italy. It has a string section, a brass section (with VCF controls and resonance) and a piano section. It is capable of nice layer sounds. A monophonic bass preset can be added.

Excuse the crackling noises, my Multiman is not 100% intact. Indeed, it is in terrible shape. Some of the keys don't play notes, instead they produce some crackling noises. But the basic sound is fantastic!"

"The surprise Year of Spiegel continues as her landmark and long out-of-print 1980 LP 'The Expanding Universe' is being reissued for the first time on compact disc by the Unseen Worlds label. While the original LP ran at just over forty-five minutes (and had to cheat the long title track of some dynamic range in order to fit all the grooves on side two), the newly expanded “Expanding Universe” sprawls, in its physical form, over two compact discs, with a running time of two and a half hours. What is old on this reissue sounds punchier and punkier than do the ripped-from-vinyl MP3s that exist online. And what’s new on “The Expanding Universe” is as diverse-sounding and alive as any electronic music issued this year, even though all of these pieces were conceived on a computer-analog hybrid system stashed in a Bell Labs hallway from 1973 to 1979.

This device would be Max Mathews’s “Generating Realtime Operations On Voltage-controlled Equipment” apparatus, otherwise known as GROOVE. It was a hybrid digital-analog mechanism that was big enough to require multiple rooms. (Despite its being too unwieldy to take out for live performances, Spiegel once described it as “the ultimate synthesizer.”) A technical breakdown of the GROOVE setup can become pretty complex, but, in brief, the system was controlled from a room that held a console, a monitor, a three-octave keyboard, and a joystick operated by the user, all of which was separated by a glass window from a temperature-controlled room with a large DDP-224 computer, which was in turn linked up to a digital magnetic tape drive down the hall.

"A small selection of presets from the 'vintage' bank, one of 10 banks supplied with Tronto for Kontakt 5.
This video shows a little of the versatility of Tronto, with interpretations of some classic and much loved electric pianos from the past, with a few twists here and there.
The only external effect used is Echo from Psp audioware. This delay is a favourite of mine, as it's tape delay characteristics complement Tronsonic's libraries very well.

"Custom hardwood end panels installed. These are made from beautiful maple birdseye hardwood. They have been sanded finely and wood oiled. The ones in the picture have a natural oil but I can fit cherry stained color end panels if requested (see last picture for comparison).

This Juno 106 has all of its original voice chips rejuvenated. They have been extensively tested and work without problem.


Original internal battery (which is soldered directly to the PCB) has been replaced by a battery holder/watch battery combination making future replacement much easier. The battery is needed for the retainment of memory when the unit is switched off. Original factory presets have been reinstalled.

All switches on the Juno 106 panel board have been replaced with new ALPS tactile switches (operating life of 1,000,000 cycles)"
