"Up for sale for the first time is your chance to own a piece of Sanibel & Captiva Island History! This Casio Synth Guitar is owned and played by Island Music Legend Danny Morgan. This is his guitar from his personal collection. The music of Danny Morgan has been heard live for 30 plus years from all the favorite island establishments.

For pics, bio, professional info on Danny Morgan please visit DannyMorgan.com

This is an early 1980s Casio Guitar Synth PG-380. It is fully functional and all contacts, connections, etc are as they should be. It comes with original manual, an extra sound card, and Fender Case. Also included are some custom cables with dual input jacks on each side of cord, and some handy tools for adjusting strings etc. Danny is the original owner and has played this all throughout the years. He of course took great care of it to keep it performance ready. This is indeed a beauty in excellent condition."

The Klirrfaktor: A Tribute To Ravi S. (Sitar & Modular)

Published on Dec 17, 2012 by TheKlirrfaktor

"Check my new album: http://theklirrfaktor.bandcamp.com/album/spaghetti-syndrome;)
After the death of Ravi Shankar I thought it would be a good idea to bring Sitar & Modular together. Here we go.
Sorry for my poor video skills - but the whole session was terrible, because I had to record & to film myself playing the sitar and as you see I didn't sleep a lot these days :D.
Alls sounds (except the sitar) from my modular system playing one patch.

However - Enjoy!"

KORG POLY-800 II Analog Synthesizer 1986 | HQ DEMO | PATCHES

Published on Dec 17, 2012 by AnalogAudio1

"You can buy these patches - read the description for further details.

(c) 2012 by AnalogAudio1

Synthesizer Demo of the polyphonic analog synthesizer Korg Poly-800 MK II.

The Korg Poly-800 II (not to be confused with the original Poly-800) is an interesting polyphonic analog synthesizer with built in digital delay. The basic sound of the Poly-800 MK 2 is different to the original Poly-800 MK 1. The filter sounds different and it has faster envelopes. It is a small, powerful synth.

In this movie I play some of my own sounds - no external effects or eq were used.
_______________________________________________________________

THE SOUND PROGRAMS IN THIS MOVIE:

Do you have a Korg Poly-800 II and want to get hold of those fantastic sounds heard in the video?

The "ANALOGAUDIO1 POLY-800 II PATCH BANK" costs 12,99 Euros and includes 64 great patches - warm analog pads, interesting retro sounds, fat basses, sequencer sounds and funky leads (in one word: all you hear in the video and some more).

As an experienced synth player, programmer and composer I programmed these patches at a professional level for studio use. This patchbank gets the most out of your Korg Poly-800 II. Also included is a patch list (PDF), to find the right sounds quickly. The sounds are not available anywhere else.

Please note, this patchbank will only work with a POLY-800 MK II - it will not work with the original POLY-800 or the EX-800.

After payment through PayPal you will get a sound file for the tape interface of your Poly-800 II and a patchlist via email.

If you want to buy the "ANALOGAUDIO1 PATCHBANK", please drop me a mail:

Gorf-XL Update

via vaco loco:

"It’s about time I posted an update on GorF-XL. For those who don’t know, GorF-XL is a euro-rack version of GorF with CV outputs. Note CV, Velocity CV, CC CV and gate output.  It has all the same features of the original GorF but with a few extras, coding is nearing completion with one more feature to add, then it’ll be time for some testing.  My hope is that these will be available as ready made, ready to go modules. No assembly, just plug it in and off you go!"

You might remember the Gorf-XL from this previous post.

"Main sound source: the Tabula Rasa wavetable oscillator (sent through a Doepfer A-105 lowpass filter). The patch starts with the Tabula Rasa through the Doepfer A-140 ADSR and A-131 VCA. Then I bring in a bit of the Tabula Rasa without any envelope or amplitude modulation (this is when the Blend modulation of the Tabula Rasa by the XAOC Moskwa starts to become apparent). uLFO does the cycling through the Tabula Rasa's waves. Main sequence: Turing Random Sequence generator. Clock: Doepfer A-147 VCLFO (tempo varied by the lower stored random voltages output of the Doepfer A-149 source of uncertainty module). Tape-like-modulation sounds from the Doepfer A-112 in pitch shifter mode (in a feedback loop, courtesy of XAOC Warna). The A-112 sound varied by turning the knob of the attenuator put in the Warna/A-112 feedback loop. Enjoy."

Elektron Analog Four: Control Voltage Disco Madness

Published on Dec 17, 2012 by Arjen Schat

"Elektron Analog Four + Octatrack and Doepfer Dark Time + Dark Energy.

In this video I utilise the control voltage of the Analog Four. Both the clock and the pitch of the Dark Time are voltage controlled by the Analog Four, which in its turn is synced via MIDI by the Octatrack. Note that the Dark Time has the tendency to go off pitch once in a while. The audio from the Dark Energy is routed to the external input of the Analog Four and the A4's output goes through the Octatrack. The drums are sampled from my SCI Tom and Drumtraks."

Moog Music Sets Sights on Moogfest 2013

"ASHEVILLE, NC – December 17, 2012 - Moogfest was founded in 2004 by Moog Music Inc. in honor of the company's founder and the man whose name the festival bears, Dr. Bob Moog. Moog Music is excited to work closely with The Bob Moog Foundation, the City of Asheville, our fans and partners to make Moogfest 2013 a dynamic celebration of the innovative spirit of Bob Moog. Bob was a visionary, whose groundbreaking concepts and electronic musical instruments have forever impacted music. His humble genius reached far beyond the mountains of Western North Carolina, influencing designers and creators all over the world in wildly diverse fields. Moogfest 2013 will honor Bob's passion for new ideas, technical curiosity and of course will support boundary pushing musical artists.

Rest assured, Asheville will always be the home of Moogfest.

"The way we design and build synthesizers is the way we approach Moogfest- stay focused on the future, while respecting and honoring the past. That's why over the last 9 years artists from Keith Emerson, Brian Eno, and Bernie Worrell to M83, Flying Lotus and Orbital have all graced Moogfest stages. Music is our business, along with user experience and innovation. Moogfest 2013 will bring all of these aspects of Moog to the forefront." - Emmy Parker, Sr. Marketing and Brand Manager, Moog Music Inc.

MOOGFEST ACCOLADES:
"The whole experience of playing Moogfest was to be enveloped in enthusiasm for synthesizer music, with a fantastic, well thought out line up, plus a series of seminars and a complete home spun, non-corporate family feel that just doesn't really happen any more. Long may the spirit of Moog in Asheville remain!" - Orbital

"At Moogfest what once seemed primitive is now claiming the future." - New York Times

“If it weren't for Robert Moog, a lot of the music you enjoy today might not have been possible. As the inventor of the Moog synthesizer, he gave rise to not only the technology needed for modern electronic music, but also the creative spirit that inspired countless musicians to take his vision and play with it, mold it and reshape it into mind-blowing works of art.” - NPR

"Robert Moog would have been proud." - Spin

"Taking place each year in the heart of Asheville, North Carolina, Moogfest has positioned itself as a unique destination festival." - XLR8R

"Celebrating electronic-music instruments, the wide range of sounds made with them, and the legacy of synth pioneer Robert Moog, Moogfest 2012 once again distinguished itself as one of americas most vital music gatherings." - DJ Times

"Pushing music past its limits and the mediums of which to do so." - Consequence of Sound

About Moog Music:
Moog Music synthesizers and other electronic musical instruments are designed and lovingly handcrafted in the Moog factory in downtown Asheville, N.C. Moog Music and its customers carry on the legacy of Dr. Robert Moog, inventor of the Moog synthesizer and Founder of Moog Music Inc."

"This is a weird 1/2-400 sequencer, you can run it either in a 16x3 configuration or with 48 separate stages. Unfortunately we no longer have an EML 400 to test it so we are selling it as is. Also unfortunately we no longer have a multi-pin cable to hook it up to the 400. The multi-pin connector is somewhat degraded so it probably should be replaced anyway. As you can see from the pic the interior is in excellent shape, as is the wood cabinet. My surmise is this either was a one-off project done by EML or somebody very skillfully sawed a full 400 in half, whichever one the workmanship is impeccable..."

ELECTRIFY

Published on Dec 17, 2012 by Apps4idevicesMusic

http://apps4idevices.com/read/electrify

"Electrify is a very powerful and flexible sample based groove machine. It does look a bit complex at first but that is only because it contains so many features. It's just a matter of setting up sequences for each sample, then triggering each clip to create your arrangement. There are 8 tracks to work with and 8 layers to create variation or multiple song parts. There is a non-destructive sample editor to shape each sample and 2 effect busses each with 9 effects each to choose from. The mastering section contains an equaliser and compressor to further tighten the mix. Samples can be pasted in from the general pasteboard but it also comes with a great collection so you can get straight in and start creating. It's worth spending the time to understand the workflow of Electrify because it is designed for live performances so it is easy to use. The live recording feature is perfect for creating both evolving loops, complete songs and interesting rhythm tracks. I love this app because it creates such good results, so rating this app is very easy....A Killer App!

"A self generating, chaotic patch.

The Sine and Triangle wave outputs of two VCO's are ring modulated and sent to the Yusynth Diode VCF and Steiner VCF respectively.
The Enigma (partially based on a random voltage design by the one and only Forrest M.Mims III) and a Yusynth Sample and Hold are modulating the pitch of the two VCO's. The Enigma is also providing the random gate bursts.
The Ian Fritz Chaos module is modulating the Steiner Filter, LFO rate and the slew of a CGS/Serge VCS.

Hope you enjoy."
