"The Groovesizer is an arduino-based DIY 32-step sequencer / synth - the project is based around a custom PCB that in it current form features 4 rows of 8 tactile switches and leds - the final version will add a fifth row of buttons and leds dedicated to control functions. It features an embedded hackduino, an 8-bit DAC option, an LM386 amp output, MIDI in/out/sync and is configurable to work with some of the most popular existing arduino audio projects. Firmware can be updated from the arduino IDE, either via an AVR ISP programmer, or by flashing the chip on an arduino board and swapping it out. Furthest along in its development is the Alpha firmware which features a 3 oscillator monosynth. "This is a super semi-modular portable synthesizer with a pin matrix based off of the EMS Synthi. This is a Version 1, so it has the rare infamous digital wavetable 3rd oscillator, which I think adds a great deal to this synth! Tons of added waveforms and can turn the Vostok into a glitch factory. The red LED read out for oscillator 3 gives you note info(great for tuning the sequencer) and also wave # info for wavetable banks A and B. Analogue Solutions stopped production of these digital wavetable oscillators since ASol thought they were too glitchy, also the volume control is more like an on/off switch, but I think is adds the right amount of digital glitchiness to this full on analog semi-modular synth system..."

"No MIDI, but has a factory-installed cassette interface with original tape labels on panel!

The revision 2 Prophets are extremely rare, and undeniably the best sounding polyphonic synthesizer ever to be produced.

Everything works except three erroneous pots: LFO frequency, goes from very slow to very fast with little in between. OSC A freq does not work at all, and OSC B fine adjusts the freq of OSC A. I have no idea what is wrong, and no desire to have repaired.

The good news is that all other pots and switches work, all 5 voices are working properly, including poly-mods, EG's, etc., all LED's, all keys (and they are still feeling fresh with no sticky/ clacky keys), tuning is pretty tight for a rev 2, it is in fantastic condition, and it was probably assembled in Dave Smith's garage due to its early serial number and Sunnyvale, CA appearing on serial badge. Later rev 2's were made in San Jose. It is serial #0421...'

"A recent discussion on VSE about "your favorite reverb" reminded me of how easy the Alesis MicroVerb is to use. Here's the signal flow: PPG Wave is running into the 2nd MicroGate which runs into the MicroVerb which runs into the 1st MicroGate (one on far left). The TR-707's trigger out is running into the Moog CP-251's multiple so I can run triggers to both MicroGates and the Jupiter 6's arpeggiator's sync input. Sorry about the sloppy edit in the middle - it's better that than another 5 minutes of my wankery :) I decided not to use the Boss RE-20 Space Echo."

"Here is a rare item. It's the PAIA 3750 drum machine. They started to make these in 1975. This one has the aluminum type metal case instead of the more common black one. I think they went to black because the aluminum ones tended to show wear as this one does..."

"MFB’s new Step-Sequencer SEQ-02 is the perfect companion to our synthesizer- and DRUM-module range. SEQ-02 is specialized in rhythm- and sequence programming.

SEQ-02 can be used as a sequencer with 6 CV- and 6 gate-outputs. Alternatively, it may also be used with either 12 CV- or 12 gate-/trigger-outputs.

SEQ-02 allows creating 16 sequences with up to 32 steps each. The sequences can be stored and offer 6 or 12 tracks. In addition, an A- and B-part allows building 2-bar-sequences using the A/B-switch.

Use trigger impulses at inputs “Sequence +“ and “Sequence –“ to switch to adjacent sequences.

Start/stop and tempo (clock) can be either controlled directly at the module or remote-controlled through external signals. Of course, SEQ-02’s start/stop and clock can act as a master for other sequencers. The RESET-input allows switching the current sequence back to step 1.

Beyond using SEQ-02 to trigger drums and envelopes, there are countless options for trigger-impulses in a modular environment. These may be used for sample&hold, switches, clock-dividers/sequencers or logic-modules. This allows to create rhythmic events, where usually a straight clock would be used for triggering, e.g. in S&H- or clock-dividing-modules. Designed to mimic the SEM in a modular format, it does a pretty good job of it.

Oscillator with saw and square,resonant three mode filter, and Vca.

Module came WELL packed in anti static, shrink wrap, bubble wrap, more SW, and some cling wrap.

Manual was emailed.

Only issue is you must be patient it literally takes three weeks to arrive from Australia because that's just how long it takes. And the Registered Post number is not a tracking number. I'm sure stores will have some soon, so maybe not an issue for long. Just be patient. Australia is far away from everywhere.
