"(c) 2013 vintage synthesizer single sound demo by RetroSound

Oberheim Matrix-1000 Analog Synthesizer from the year 1987

The small Oberheim with the big sound! Very underrated analog synthesizer module from Oberheim with six voices, two DCOs per voice, 24 dB low pass filter and matrix modulation like the big brothers Matrix-12 and Xpander.

the demo shows self-programmed and factory sounds."

Mutable Instruments Self-playing 8-bit Trancey Patch

Self-playing 8-bit trancey patch from mutable instruments on Vimeo.

"Kick: Grids ch. 1 -> Peaks

Snare/HH: Grids ch. 2 -> Peaks -> µVCA II modulated by an envelope (Quadra) triggered by the accent channel (to get amplitude variations).

Sync sound: Braids -> Ripples -> µVCA II modulated by an envelope (Quadra) triggered by Grids ch. 3. Cutoff modulation from another envelope triggered by Grids' accent channel. Timbre modulation from a Dixie II used as LFO. The Dixie II also modulates the fill rate of Grids' channel 3.

8-bit sounds: 4 channels of Edges. Channel 1 and 4 playing sequences clocked by Grids ch. 1 accent. Channel 2 and 3 playing lone notes. Sent into Echophon (though I disabled it after a while). Channel 2 is sync'ed to channel 1 and its frequency is controlled by one channel of Quadra used as a LFO.

8-bit and Sync sources mixed in Frames, with two channels of CV controlling Braids timbre and Ripples cutoff."

"Introducing, SuperSlave Audio Modular Synthesizer Cases.

SuperSlave Audio modular cases are built to last, with the highest quality materials available. Anodized aluminum extrusions, handles, rails & interior panels. 1/4” ABS exterior panels and zinc plated steel corners and latches. All standard SuperSlave modular cases include side removable hinges and an interior control panel with panel mounted DC in socket and on/off switch, which separate two rows of 84 hp or 104 hp of modular synthesizer space. Each row of modules are powered by TipTop Audio, Studio Bus Boards vertically mounted under the control panel. So, there’s no wasted space and no need to worry about modules coming in contact with the bus board. All cases include a Cincon desktop power supply, specifically designed for the Studio Bus Boards.

SuperSlave Audio Cases use an insertable square nut and screw for installing modules and more than enough are included with purchase.

Two versions of SuperSlave Audio Modular cases will be listed and available in any format. “Standard” & 'Progressive'.

The 'Standard' version is constructed with 1/4” ABS exterior panels. The exterior panels of the 'Progressive' version are constructed with 3/16” ABS and an extremely durable outer layer, made from recycled rubber. Both versions have a maximum module depth of approximately 5 inches, unless pre-ordered. Pre-ordered cases will have a lead time of approximately one week.

Powered cases are currently available in Eurorack format only. But, unpowered modular synthesizer formats and custom sizes are available by quote."

This is the first SuperSlave post.

"Up for sale is SEQUENTIAL CIRCUITS PRO-8 vintage analog synthesizer. This is the rare Japanese version of the SCI SPLIT-8 synthesizer.

According to web -
Around 1983-84 Sequential Circuits, in order to break into the Japanese market, shipped the Curtis SENTE (CEM 3394) chip and the firmware for the Sequential Six-Trak to an other Japanese manufacturer [DENKI SANGYO CO., LTD.]. It was their plan to have that that manufactuer design a synthesizer more targeted at the Japanese buyer. This Japanese company created an 8-voice bi-timbral version of the Six-Trak. They added a 5-octave, 61-note (C-C) keyboard to it and sold it in Japan, calling it the Pro-8. Sequential, liking what the Japanese manufacturer had done with their design and worrying that they might market their synth with one of their competitors (ie. Korg), asked for some design changes and a name change, and sold the Japanese-made synth as the Split-8."
