Le Noise Swash (4ms) est un module eurorack exploratoire et chaotique capable de créer des textures sonores complexes, qui ressemblent parfois à des cris de pingouins bourrés ou de mouettes malades (au choix). En conséquence, ce module ne plaira pas à tout le monde, mais si vous êtes à la recherche d'un générateur de sons explosifs pour les enregistrer et les retravailler minutieusement derrière, ce module reste une piste sérieuse à explorer.

Petite précision, c'est le genre de module dont il est impossible de faire le tour en 3 minutes, ne vous arrêtez donc pas à cette démonstration et venez le tester sur place dans notre showroom !

"This is part I of the SEIKO DS series of instruments.

Originally invented by Gray Laboratories as the Basyn Minstrel (3995 USD) as a direct competitor to the NED Synclavier (five figures USD) and eventually sold to SEIKO this specific additive engine never reached a huge audience.

Released in 1983 by SEIKO this series or arranger keyboards (DS-101, DS-202 and DS-250) was no success.
Mainly - I guess - caused by the fact that no one really knew what it was; was is a synthesizer or an arranger keyboard ? And with no MIDI this was dead already before it was released (remember 1983 was the year of MIDI).

I think it sounds amazing and this video will take you through the additive synth wonders of the DS-310 unit.
This is a video showing more features than sounds - so if you want a video of the unit only playing the sounds of this unit look elsewhere.

Korg Poly-61 Repair Broken Synthesizer Fix - Master Clock Plays Sound Without Pressing a Key

"This video demonstrates some problems with the Korg Poly61 and the repair process. This video is intended as a follow up to Mik Music's video http://youtu.be/RbuBV5MQMTc where he diagnoses the Korg Poly-61 at length. Check out Mik's video first if you are trying to repair yours. This video details the issues I am having and documents the repair process.

My Poly 61 was having an issue where the Frequency LED on the top panel would not illuminate. When I typed "22" on the panel, a constant sound would automatically start playing and sustain. If I pressed the keys, that would modify the sound.

As a result, I followed Mik's suggestion to repair cable 27 that connects the master clock board to the CPU board. I purchased Molex WMLX-106 KK Mini Crimp Terminals for .100 Center Housings (2.54mm) from Fry's Electronics in Burbank, California for $3.00. I stripped the wires and crimped the terminals onto cable 27's wire harness attached to the CPU board. Once I performed that repair, the Frequency LED illuminated and the master clock function was restored (including the joystick). However, I am still having a couple of issues. I need to fix the "Parameter" button because it does not work no matter how hard I press it. Also, it appears that there is no functionality on the voice board. The LEDs on each voice do not light up. I am going to test it today to see if it is the connectors from the CPU Board to the Voice Board or some other issue. Thank you Mik for your advice and suggestions.

In a nutshell, even after the master clock fix that I performed, I am still having the same issue. Luckily the master clock works now.

"Starts with loading my own default song (which I now notice I need to save my favourite fill mode in), starting from the workscene and saving a few scenes as if I was starting a song. Tried to keep video fairly short so it doesn't get boring, quite hard as I had the camera in front of my face so it could see the screen and keys, well most of them. Hope it helps explain how easy it is to start from nothing and build the bones of a song, even if this isn't a song I spent too long thinking about. :) You'll also hear the difference between the wild abandon of me recording notes into P3 patterns and the pattern playback. Hope it's useful to someone."

"During this session, audio output of Analog Keys is being fed into the Octatrack. On the Octatrack, Track 1 has HOLD Record mode with Flex Buffer 1 assigned. Track 2, 3 and 4 have Pickup Machines assigned and are set to Loop 64 Steps of audio. Tracks 5, 6, 7 and 8 have sequenced drum samples and loops. By this setup, the Octatrack can act as a looper, drum machine, FX processor and a mixer while Analog Keys provides the warm and fat synthesis.

At 2:23, Octatrack is switched to next Pattern which has a different Part assigned to it. On this Part, the same recorded samples from the Analog Keys are played back backwards. This features makes the Octatrack a crazy looper with unforeseen capabilities.
