"Zero fue una de las bandas de la movida de rock uruguayo post-dictadura, si bien lo que ellos realizaban no era rock en el sentido puro de la palabra. Su estilo musical se basó en el uso de sintetizadores y pueden considerarse los pioneros en Uruguay de lo que luego se daría a conocer como música electrónica. Aunque el enfoque de Zero era más industrial y post-punk de los años 1980, contando también con influencias de bandas como The Sisters of Mercy, Kraftwerk, Bauhaus, New Order y la primera etapa de Depeche Mode."

Update via elgouchoandres in the comments: "Yeah sure, I was there at that time. I think I have some pics but none playing that "keytar". Eduardo Gómez had two synths, a heavily modified Korg MS20 and a custom PAiA 4700. He had cut the keybed of the MS20 and used it sometimes stacked with the PAiA keyboard and sometimes side-to-side.
For filming this video was used one of the keyboards with a dummy grip. I'm 99,99% sure it was the PAiA's keyboard because the MS20 keyboard had white stripes painted on."

"Test drive of littleBits Korg Synth Kit synthesizer with an adafruit Trinket 5 volt, ATtiny85 microcontroller programmed as a variable rate square wave generator. The MCU mini protoboard uses an adapted littleBits w1 wire module to interface with the rest of the littleBits synth modules. The synth is set up to sequence FM drones, with lots of delay and a random input controlling filter cutoff. All hacking by Doktor Bob."

When faced with an undifferentiated sequence, one that is pounding out a motor-like rhythm, the quickest way to give it definition, nuance and inflection is by creating an accent pattern. That can often be as simple as an interesting volume pattern or loud vs. soft, filter pattern or modulation pattern. Or, in today's Easel Expedition, I'm going to be looking at a pattern of long vs. short notes by controlling the decay of the Pulser via the Sequential Voltage Source. Though the sound I made is nothing special, I draw your attention to the many permutations possible with just 4 sliders of the SVS."

"This music is going nowhere and maybe it's a bit too long. I hope you won't be bored, But it is fun to play. And I wanted to show off my newly acquired CorSynth C105 VC Noise / Lo-Fi Machine.
The Cirklon has 4 sequences going. It starts with the Moog Prodigy. Then the bass line from the Yamaha CS-30L comes in. After that you hear the self-built Modular which has the CorSynth C105 between the VCF and the VCA. The 4th random sequence comes from the Oberheim OB-Mx of which I occasionally vary the tuning of VCO 2. Chords are played on the Roland XP-80, the Waldorf Q Keyboard and some notes are played on the Clavia Nord Lead 1. Anne made the video with my iPhone but at around 20 minutes the iPhone had no space left. The music goes on a bit though. You can download that from my website soon. The title refers to my son Mark who is living on his own now. I hope he will be very happy in his own house."

"Polyfusion were like turbocharged Moogs. This is a four input, one output mixer. All connectors are on 1/4" jack and each input is switchable on/off. There are positive and inverted outputs available and controls for each channel and overall level. Currently fitted for Doepfer Eurorack power, I also have the original connector. The panel size is a Polyfusion standard which I believe to be the same as the original Moog modular. All keys, rocker switches, knobs/dials, and lights works flawlessly. "This is my Firstman SQ01 sequencer and synth. Pretty rare unit and a VERY big sounding synth. MUCH more low end than a TB303 but not quite as squidgy! Was released before the 303 I believe (1980)
On speakers you will hear how deep the low end is when the resonance is not cranked. VERY dubby sounding. It also has CV-Gate in and out as well as clock in and out so can be used in a larger CV-gate setup or as a sequencer for any cv-gate synth. Two envelope settings and gate length plus a sustain (release) control."

The controls (left to right) are: Tempo, Release, Bar, Filter Cutoff Frequency, Filter Resonance, Oscillator Fine (tune) and Oscillator Frequency, Sustain and Power/Volume. Connections at the top rear are: DC12V in, CV in, Gate in, Clock in, Footswitch, Synchro out, CV out, Gate out, Clock out and Audio out.
