"Something I've been working on lately. I'm pretty happy with it, I'd be interested to hear your feedback.
As always it was produced using lots of vintage and new analog gear (Roland MKS-70, Yamaha CS10, Novation Bassstation, Moog Minitaur & SubPhatty) and some digital (Kurzweil K2000R, Ensoniq TS12, Access Virus TI2)."

Details on what's doing what: "the opening bass line is the K2000r, it's a 303ish patch I made, it then gets layered with the Minitaur. The sequenced synths that follow are the Sub Phatty and the MKS70, they're playing different sequences. There's also a CS10 sequence that comes in a bit later. There are two pads, one is the Virus and the other (I think) is the TS12. The main lead synths are a combination of three synth sounds, one is the MKS70, another is the Virus and the bell sound is the TS12. Later a new bass line comes in and that's the Subphatty, it's layered with a line from the MKS70. The final melodies are played on the TS12 and the default Kontakt 5 harp sound. All beats are made with Stylus RMX and NI Battery. I think I covered everything, I may have miss-remembered some stuff because I'm away from home right now and can't verify. I might have not used the Bassstation after all, difficult to remember sometimes"

And on the tattoo: "I wanted a tattoo that represented my love of analog synths (I guess primarily Moog because they're so iconic and their knobs and panels always look great) and so go some basic module knobs tattooed on my arm. They are: cutoff, res, waveform, LFO rate, VCF amount knobs."

"ASHEVILLE, NC APRIL 27, 2009ó Smashing Guitars has announced the release of the first of their new product line, the Gristleizer. The flagship of the newly formed Endangered Audio (a subsidiary of Smashing Guitars), the Gristleizer is an extremely rare and unique unit. Originally designed by Roy Gwinn in 1976, the Gristleizer is based on a design published in Practical Electronics and sold in kit form by Phonosonics. Chris Carter of the British industrial music and visual arts group Throbbing Gristle modified the kit in 1977, unleashing what is known as the Gristleizer. Lost to time, the unit has been re-designed and produced by Smashing Guitars Owner/Engineer Todd Kelley, with assistance from Charlie Howes. After months of research and consultation with Gwinn and Carter, the audio path has been kept original-- "we've taken what people love about the sounds of the original Gristleizer, and given them much more" says Kelley. The Gristleizer had its initial release at the sold out Throbbing Gristle performance at Logan Square Auditorium in Chicago on April 25, 2009, one of their first performances in the USA in 28 years."

Buchla 285e Frequency Shifter / Balanced Modulator

"A frequency shifter is not a pitch shifter, it shifts each harmonics of a sound by a frequency separately up and down.
With the rarely available external reference input one can shift each harmonic by each harmonic frequency in the reference frequency (which itself is not heard directly).
The unit has two separate built in voltage controlled reference sine wave oscillators, one each for the frequency shifter and balanced modulator sections.

One also has the option of using any external wave for both sections carrier and modulator bypassing the internal oscillator. I'm pretty sure the 285e is the only frequency shifter module currently in production that can frequency shift the input wave with another input wave. The only other module I know of that did this was the (as far as I know) no longer produced Serge External Carrier Frequency Shifter, one of their most expensive "modules".
Firmware version 30.2 (current). Includes mounting screws.

Manufacturer Description:
The top section of the dual-function 285e performs frequency shifting; up and down outputs are simultaneously available. The reference frequency can be externally applied or internally generated; the latter can be voltage-controlled and modulated using FM.

The bottom section is independent, and functions as a balanced modulator of the applied signals. The degree of modulation is voltage-controlled, and the reference frequency can be internally generated or externally applied, as with the frequency shifter. A separate audio output is dedicated to classic ring modulation, a subset of balanced modulation.
All settings of the 285e can be stored and recalled as part of a preset using the 225e or the 206e Preset Manager"

this one has 2 sample ROM,EL SNARE,ORCHESTRA HIT('80s sound!!)

very limited quantities were made
so i'ts very hard to find even in Japan nowadays...

it's basically a electronic drum pad using sample ROM like SIMMONS SDS1
but you can make many unique sounds with these knobs(volume,EQ high,EQ low,pitch sens,sweep.decay,pitch with low/high,sens)
you can change main sound by replacing ROM(this auction item has two original ROMs,EL SNARE,ORCHESTRA HIT)
and back side has ext pad input,power in.power out,output

Item is used condition and working, comes with 2 sample ROM(EL SNARE #3,ORCHESTRA #1) and original PSU
one leg of ORCHESTRA #1 ROM is broken but it seems works."

The Harvestman: Polivoks VCF Eurorack Synthesizer Module

"The filter is made via a collaboration with the synth's original designer, Vladimir Kuzmin, and Shawn Cleary of Analogue Haven. The filter circuit is identical to the original design and uses the exact same schematic as the Polivoks synthesizer as well as new old stock Soviet integrated circuits (KR140UD1208 and R140UD608, not Western "equivalents"). A signal mixer and bipolar CV multiplier were added in order to use the filter within the modular realm but no other additions are present. This helps to preserve the unique and unstable sound character without compromising signal flow authenticity.

First sold in the USSR in 1982, the Polivoks was the first voltage-controlled Soviet synthesizer. Boasting an impressive set of features comparable to Western designs, the synthesizer was noted for its extremely aggressive sound, particularly within the filter. Easy to overload, unstable at high Q values, and prone to self-oscillation.

Soviet iron smuggled to the harvestman by axon vox."

Moog 905 Reverb & Tuner Monitor in the rack as well.  Note the Steiner logos.  I'm assuming they are for looks.  The filter bank has the Analogue Realities logo.

Update via dingebre in the comments: "The typeface is not Moog'ish. It's in a muchh larger Steiner-Parker Synthasystem and I wanted the panel to fit in with the others I did. Nyle [Stiener] helped pick the type face for his modules to match the original typeface."

It's fun to have the limitations of the LCD and button interface, it makes getting good sounds out a little harder, but worthwhile, when you do."

RTM pulses #2 out to Doepfer A-143-1 firing off all envelopes in AD mode.

Audio outs from Vampire to both channels of Intellijel µVCA and a Plan B Model 26 VCA. These are being driven by the A-143-1.
One channel of A-143-1 modulates various Vampire inputs.
All VCA audio goes to an STG .MIX and then along to a Plan B Model 40 in Mono mode.
