Andy Baker's Polymoog 203a with Vox Humana preset, (by Synthpro)

Published on Feb 17, 2015 synthpro

"Hello everyone,

I have been working on a polymoog for a friend and decided to try my hand at programming one of these beasts to have Vox Humana. It is still in the rough programming stages and will keep playing with it until I get it matched perfectly.

Ignore the keyboard damage, this is my polymoog chassis that I am currently rebuilding, I stuck Andy's Boards in it so I could troubleshoot/ modify/repair.

Appreciate all the support my friends and thanks for watching!

Jareth"

"This is yet another artist inspired soundpack! I couldn't help while listening through the new album from Los Angeles, California metalcore band Silent Planet that there is a consistent ambient but heavy presence throughout the entire album. After this I quickly got to work. I sampled and sliced every instance of 1 instrument or vocal that was singled out, added some drums, a Boondock Saints sample and 64+ samples (4 banks), and tons of FX later you have this full album mashup/ soundpack. I even tried it out on my new Christmas gift (Launchpad S) with an accompanied light show which was built by ULT1MOD. And while I had high hopes, you will see we had to edit the video cause my computer almost exploded in the process...that being said, enjoy! -Kyle

Circuit Shaman VERT Video Manual

Published on Feb 17, 2015 Circuit Shaman

"This is a video showing the operation and uses of the VERT (23A). The VERT is an 8-bit Analog to Digital Converter which turns an input signal into a set of 8 gates. The unique thing about this module is that it is also capable of driving the Turing Machine expanders, making it possible to create melodies using the VOLTAGES expander or open and close pathways using the SWITCHES expander.

The VERT is available as an assembled module, as a kit and as a PCB/ panel set. PCBs are supported for non-eurorack formats of modular synthesizer.

For ordering information and more details please visit http://www.circuitshaman.com/p/vert.html"

Circuit Shaman SWITCHES Turing Machine Expander Video Manual

Published on Feb 17, 2015

"The SWITCHES expander is a Turing Machine expander that can also be hosted by VERT. It turns your host module into a sequential switch where each bit controls the on/ off state of a switch. These 8 switches are then summed to 4 separate outputs which are denoted by the 3 brackets and the “All” sum output. The top 4 “clean” switches use a high-speed low-error switching IC whereas the bottom 4 “dirty” switches use vactrols to add some smudge to your signal.

The SWITCHES expander is available as an assembled module, as a DIY kit and as a PCB/ panel. PCBs are supported for non-eurorack formats of modular synthesizer.

For more details and ordering go to http://www.circuitshaman.com/p/switch..."

Circuit Shaman SPECTRA MIRROR Video Manual

Published on Feb 17, 2015

"This video shows the uses and operation of the SPECTRA MIRROR (23B) module by Circuit Shaman. This module is a Resonant multi-mode sampling gate, meaning that it can be used in many ways to attenuate an audio signal using downsampling. It is also capable of many sampling effects that are not possible with typical downsampling effects, such as the ability to downsample only part of the input signal and "high-pass sampling" mode, which attenuates signals below the sampling frequency like a high-pass filter.

This module is available as an assembled module, as a DIY kit and as a PCB/ panel. The PCB is also supported for non-eurorack formats.

DSP Synthesizers TR-927 - Fully Polyphonic 16-channel Drumsampler Proof of Concept Demos

The RPi V-Host TR-927 Synth

Published on Feb 17, 2015

"Now with a 32-step drumpattern it is actually playing something."

Jan Ostman is the man behind DSP Synthesizers, makers of the tiny dsp-G1 synth and the recent mini Juno DCO based synths. I asked Jan if this would be a new product from DSP Synthesizers and he stated the following:

"This is part of the new Raspberry Pi Open Source DSP-Synth. Yes, Open-Source as in all code is free, open and runs on any RPi. I'm only planning on selling the V-Host hardware preinstalled but it runs on any Pi. The V-Host is actually a DSP-framework that runs on a Bare-Metal RPi. You just need the file installed on a SD-card. The different synths are plugins and the V-Host can run several plugins at the same time using different MIDI-channels for them. Much like a V-Machine. All that is needed is a MIDI connector on the standalone RPi. The TR-927 is the first plugin developed for proof of concept. It is a fully polyphonic 16-channel drumsampler."

ENSONIQ ESQ-1 Synthesizer Between Rythym Pitch & Space

Published on Feb 17, 2015 TheDaydreamSound

"As you can guess, I really like the sequencer on the ESQ-1 now. It's grown on me and I have no problem with that. Here I'm just playing between the notes and having fun as always.

The Ensoniq ESQ1 Digital Wave Synthesizer is a hybrid 8bit digital synth with analog filters. The more I think about it I'm finding that it's the bitrate of this synth that allows it to be such a chameleon. It can create sounds that actually sound like samples from vinyl! I was and still am considering getting a DSI PRO2 but the versatility of the ESQ1 is minimizing my reason for getting another synthesiser."
