Maybe it’s the fact that its tame looks contrast the huge, polyphonic analogue sound!"

Glitchy and random at times with modded organ.
CV outs from MAQ16/3 to A192-2 CV to MIDI converter, from there to J-omega electronics MTP-90 MIDI parallel converter, then to organ keys relay circuit. A bit glitchy using CV's, Next thing to try will be straight MIDI out from MAQ16/3 directly into the MTP-90 organ mod."

The Vacvac uses 2 vactrols per channel to get 80+ dB of attenuation. The Vactrols
are trimmed to ensure channel and gain matching, so no channel to channel
variation or unit to unit differences. The CV drive circuit is jumper selectable 5 or
10 volts, and the modules unity gain at the max voltage. Also our drive is biased
so EGs that have an offset will not open the VCA when they are supposed to be
closed.
This is a very musical VCA. It sounds great, and makes really nice drum sounds.
Also its soft on/off characteristics means it make a great mute. Use it to switch
between 2 different sounds.
This 4HP module has a maximum 60mA current draw. Module depth is 49mm."

" I am selling a Voyetra-8, one of, if not the best polyphonic analog synthesizer out there. The V8 combines two CEM3340 oscillators (each with a sub-oscillator) and a SSM 2044 filter per voice with a huge amount of modulation abilities. The end result is a wonderful sounding synth that can easily go from subtle to HUGE. This particular unit is a green card rev. 4 machine, which is the final and most stable version of the Voyetra. It can accept MIDI sysex and can be controlled by external software and programmers. It was also just gone over by Peter Lanziolata, a former Octave-Voyetra tech, and THE best V8 tech on the planet. He went over this machine meticulously updating parts (including replacing the power supply) and resoldering connections where needed. The synth now plays and works exactly as it should.
Included in the auction is a new old stock VPK-5 controller keyboard. This was purchased recently from Carmine Bonanno, the former head of Octave and is totally unused. You can either use this controller or midi to control the Voyetra (but not at the same time).
Also included are the necessary XLR > MIDI cables, the original manual, and other documentation. You are literally getting the "complete" package for the Voyetra.
Because this is a vintage piece of electronic equipment (and a sensitive one at that), there are some thing to mention.
The machine is currently fully calibrated, but trimmers inside the unit (for the voice card volumes and filters) may shift during shipping. If this happens, it's straight forward to re-calibrate them as long as you are able to turn a knob and use a tuner.
Voyetras were always somewhat temperamental in terms of autotuning. The machine autotunes exactly as it should; however, like any vintage analog synth it needs time to warm up and will sometimes require a few autotunes for all voice cards to pass. This is normal, and just requires hitting the autotune button a few more times. As it is, it is stable enough that it usually turns on with almost all voices already in tune.
All Voyetras are very sensitive to ground loops and this can create unwanted noise in the audio signal. This can usually be solved by switching to a filtered power supply, or simply a different wall socket (as in my case).
Finally, because of the vintage nature of this machine, it is absolutely, 100% sold as-is. I guarantee only that the machine will turn on and there will be no returns UNLESS the machine does not turn on at all. Saying that, I do no expect there to be any issues upon arrival beyond possibly needing to recalibrate the voice volumes and filters (if even that). Please ask any questions bidding."

It shows no signs of wear/scratches and it's been used only in my smoke-free studio. I'm selling everything and this is the last one to go since I love it so much. It retails at $1,200. mfb's tanzbãr drum-computer offers fourteen analogue percussion instruments as well as a synthesizer for bass- and melodic voices. its integrated step-sequencer allows flashlight-programming and storage of up to 144 patterns. all parameters can be recorded per step! because of its ability to control and call up all functions on the fly, while the unit is running, tanzbãr is ideally suited for live performances.
using the fill-function, patterns can be chained for longer sequences. in addition, every pattern offers a/b variations that can be switched manually or automatically for further flexibility. also, tanzbãr allows saving 16 flame and roll-variations.

"This is the very rare red version of the Roland SH-101. It has a manufacture date of 1-13-1983. Fully functional. Since I live near Asheville, NC I was able to get it checked out by an engineer at Moog. He cleaned, checked all functions and calibrated it. He replaced the portamento pot, the bender lever and the ac input jack during the checkup. Cosmetically I give this synthesizer a "good" rating. There are dings and scuffs here and there (see pics) as can be expected from a 30+ year old keyboard. There are some imperfections on the outside of the bottom plate (see pics) but the inside has been refinished . The MGS-1 modulation grip and the original Roland ac adapter as pictured are included. I will also provide the Owner's manual and the Service manual PDFs on CD. The batteries are not included."

It is really a one of a kind piece of sound art that has a wide range of unique sonic possibilities. It has (4) oscillators, (5) 1/8" cv jacks, control knobs for delay and each of the oscillators, (4) brass keys to trigger the oscillators, (3) switches to change delay mode and (3) switches to change drum mode. Housed in a very nice looking oak casing. Runs off a standard 9V power supply which is included. Everything works great and it is good cosmetic condition. Asking $500, which is less than half of what I paid for it a few years ago. These are custom made and are not readily available. If you have any questions please let me know. "Despite the plain-and-simple layout of the front panel, there's a surprising amount of capability crammed into this little thing. Take a look at the number of functions stacked on each button and you'll get an idea of how deep you can dive with a bit of patience and the manual handy. You're not just getting a nice wobbly analogue-modelling synth - it also does a pretty mean 606 and 808 drum machine impression, has a pattern sequencer and one of the most effective arpeggiators I've worked with. "Despite the plain-and-simple layout of the front panel, there's a surprising amount of capability crammed into this little thing. Take a look at the number of functions stacked on each button and you'll get an idea of how deep you can dive with a bit of patience and the manual handy. In front of the eurorack system you can see what appears to be a currently unknown Roland Aira desktop module. If you zoom in it gets blurry but you can see what appears to be knobs on the left and sliders on the right much like the center front panel for the System-1 keyboard. What's off are the bottom and top row. Time will tell. Hopefully we'll know what it is by the Musikmesse.
Update: Some are speculating this could be analog with patch points to interface with modular systems. That could explain the top row, however, note that Roland's first foray back into the analog world is with the JD-Xi which is not part of the Aira line. This desktop has the Aira green styling which implies it will use that technology. There was a NAMM demo for the JD-Xi where the presenter was asked why it wasn't part of the Aira line and the answer given was that it used different technology than the Aira line, and Roland did not want to confuse the two. It will be interesting to see what this new desktop ends up being.

Advice needed for a Yamaha SY 1

"I bought this Yamaha SY-1 very cheap - 400dkr (~$60) - and all was hunkydory untill I found that there is a problem with the envelope generator - a problem that is unfixable because those ass....not-so-nice-persons at Yamaha decided that it was a fantastic idea to cast a block of epoxy around the parts that are most likely to fail! According to the service manual that I found online the reason is to make sure everything inside the blocks has the same temperature. In other words to secure a stable operation. Personally I think the reason is that they didn't want competitors to see how they had designed their circuits. The somewhat similar Roland SH-2000 from the same age are much more repair-friendly and nothing is hidden there - and it is also quite stable to temperature changes.
I made a temporary repair that isn't very good. So I would like to ask if anybody has an idea to what I should do to get it fully operational again?
The music is something I made in 1997 (sorry about the tape noise) and is primarily played on Roland SH-2000. The other instruments are Roland CR-1000, Casio SA-1 and SA-3, and Bontempi KS-3400."
