"Following a recent firmware development for Launch Control and Launch Control XL, both devices can now be used to control external hardware without a computer, using a USB host-to-MIDI converter — such as the Kenton MIDI USB Host, or iConnectMIDI 4+ — to provide full MIDI implementation, with standard 5-pin DIN connection.

This is a huge development for hardware users who love the amount of controls that the Launch series offers, but who do not want or need a computer in their setup.

Here, CALC is using the Launch Control XL and Kenton MIDI USB Host to control his the Elektron Octatrack.

sequencers used are the tiptop audio circadian rhythms (CR), z8000, modcan touch sequencer (TS), intellijel metropolis and 2x make noise pressure points with brains.

CHORDS: make noise tELEHARMONIC sequenced by the CR and two pressure points. processed through the tiptop audio ZDSP reverb.

LEAD MELODY: intellijel atlantis sequenced by the intellijel metropolis and processed through the qu-bit electronic RT60 reverb.

KICK: blue lantern asteroid BDv4 sequenced by the CR.

SNARE: noise engineering BI triggered by the CR and processed through the make noise erbe verb and synthesis technology e580 delay.

HAT: SSF quantum rainbow MKII purple noise with maths expo envelope sequenced by the CR.

SUB KICK: tiptop audio BD808 triggered by the CR.

MID SECTION PERCUSSION: mutable instruments elements sequenced by the CR and Z8000.

MID SECTION TO END HARMONY: modcan triple osc through the modcan multimode filter sequenced by the modcan TS and processed through mutable instruments clouds.

"Braids Meta Vs Roland Demora
Patch using the meta mode in braids as main sound source and outputting to Roland Demora.
QCD is master clock, different clock measures fed to Macro Machines Dynamic Destiny and stepped through in random mode then output sent to clock Modcan Touch Sequencer and Tiptop Circadian Rhythm, and Demora sync finally also used to clock sync time on Modcan Dual Delay. Clock measures stacked and used to sync Modcan Quad LFO, Make Noise Wogglebug and SSF Ultra Random.

Wogglebug stepped output activates braids Meta mode, various random modulation on braids and split output to one channel of Make noise optomix for percussive hits and also to Roland Demora. Quad LFO modulates Demora feedback and width. Demora has custom patch with clock syncing and modulated 12db filter. Bypass switch is also activated by triggers to cut off and gate effect. Finally Demora Output is put through Eventide Space.

Pad is Intellijel Shapeshifter in chord mode put through Mutable clouds. Randomly modulated for interest then passed through ADDAC 601 fixed filter bank. Bands are pinged with triggered envelopes and LFO’s from Quad LFO. Finally output to Modcan Dual delay.

Percussion is Mutable Peaks kick (x2) sequenced by Circadian Rhythm, SSF Quantum Rainbow white Noise Hats. Snare created on ALM Dinky’s Taiko with noise envelope randomly opened with attenuated trigger from Circadian Rhythm. Two Channels from Modcan Touch Sequencer controls pitch for Braids and Clouds .

All Euro except for Eventide Space Mixed Eq’d and panned on Soundcraft mixer into Logic. Live muting and fading. Vintage warmer strapped on master bus to glue it all together :) "

The Bleep Labs Bit Blob 2 is a drone synth controlled by connecting alligator clips to bolts attached to the circuits. The chain starts with the Bit Blob 2, then goes into the Korg Monotron for rhythmic filtering, then into the Boss Hyper Fuzz for some brutal distortion, then into the Monotron Delay for more filtering and tape echo. This whole chain then goes into a mackie Onyx mixer than brings it into Logic Pro for recording and a little bit of Compression, EQ & a dash of Verb."

Waldorf stopped making these 10 years ago, only other way to get these is in the off chance you will find an expanded XT. This board has been tested working and parts are all new stock. Do not buy if your XT, MWII or XTK has Board #1 or Board #2 - It will not work!!! Check your XT by going to utility menu and clicking in 6 times, this will tell you your board revision. Only Board#3 is compatible and you need to remove the stock jumper and install the included hardware. Best advice is to have your synth shop install it. Final requirement is your OS must be 2.33 for best compatibility and your XT/XTK/MWII must be in good working order!!!

In addition to the obvious color changes, these were the first Revolution units to have the black aluminum end pieces. They also featured unique combinations of colored key caps and included one modification that provided a logical accent gate output on the ring connector of the gate output jack. Each unit was also hand-signed and numbered. All silver models shown above were sold exclusively through Nova Musik in the USA. Only 15 of these units were ever made.'
