I have the Novation Circuit playing a simple bassline and sending MIDI notes to the JU-06, and some drums from the indispensable TR-8. This is not an in depth performance of any of these machines, just a quick vid of me tooling around with some techno beats."

"Synthesizers.com is auctioning a prototype of its Q167 LFO++ module to benefit the Bob Moog Foundation. The one-of-a-kind module, built and signed by Roger Arrick, is fully functional, though differs slightly from the production units.

The Q167 LFO++ is a pure analog module offering a unique combination of features including a precision LFO, which operates into the audio range and tracks a 1v/octave keyboard or sequencer. A unique wave shaping section creates clean sine waves, anti-sine waves, curved sawtooth, gates and more.

The built-in envelope generator provides control of the LFO's speed and/or amplitude over time with control over the sustain TIME to produce sections of waveforms, bursts of gates, delayed vibrato, and more.

The special configuration of the LFO++ makes it easy to control vibrato, tremolo and filter modulation with a wheel controller, keyboard pressure or a sequencer. It’s great for controlling beat-count on individual sequencer steps and will accurately track a keyboard and can be used as a stand-alone analog synth voice.

The prototype being auctioned varies slightly from the production model. The front panel is a printed label and the circuit board is raw without a solder mask.The PCB is hand-soldered and some of the components are mounted in sockets.It is usable in any Moog-Unit format modular synthesizer with a Synthesizers.com power system.

Face plate measurements are 8.75" x 2.125" x 2.25" deep behind the panel. Requires: +15v,-15v,+5v.

I have packed a ton of Roland Juno-106 sounds, both original patches and factory presets, into this demo.

ALL synthesizer sounds originate from the Juno-106. The TR-606 provided rhythm backing, Big Sky and Timefactor for effects. All tracks were recorded direct to Cubase SX3 via E-mu 1616. NO additional production, eq, compressors, mastering, etc. was used. Except the levels were very quiet so I cheated by pushing them up with a plug-in limiter across the output. Happens sometimes."

"For sale is extremely rare soviet vintage analog guitar micro synthesizer "LIDER-2". It is a original guitar effects processor produced in 1980`s by Katchkanar radio equipment factory "Formanta", famous for its well-known synthesizers Polivoks, Manual, Maestro etc. Was designed to be applied by musicians who use external effects in the live performance or studio work. Can be easely used not only with guitars but with synths, organs, bass e.t.c. It is a floor-mounted unit with five rubber footswitches; it also has sliders and knobs for changing the parameters of effects. Can process sounds in different ways and mix signal inside the synthesizer. One of the two vocoder models ever produced in the USSR, Elektronika EM-26 portable vocoder is intended for synthesis the voice or external signals, has internal strings ton-generator, analyzer-synthesizer, modulations and vocoder effects. "This is a short vlog on emulating reverb and digital delay effects using an analog modular synthesizer. the synthesizer used is mostly a DOTCOM synth in a Portable 22 cabinet. it is designed to emulate the capabilities of the ARP 2600 synthesizer in two respects: 1) the functionality of the modules 2) a 'normalized signal path', to minimize the patching required."

"Early early morning practise using my setup from my previous video, (MI Peaks + Ladik D-333 ROM Player Drums) but this time the drums are sequenced by Mutable Instruments Frames Euclidian Sequencer, wich is the part of the "Parasite" Firmware available for free.

I used an MB-33 from MAM (Music And More) from 1996 to lay down some TB-303 Basslines, wich are sequenced by a Beatstep Pro via MIDI. The background pads are sequenced by the Beatstep as well, but via CV and they come from the 4VOX Wavetable oscillator from FLAME. The sleepy solo is also a 4VOX sound and i play it with the Keith McMillen QuNexus keyboard via CV.Roland Scooper is synced to the 1/8 division of the clock and is used for some scatter action on the fly.I Used the Halls of Valhalla Cartridges "Niflheim" Reverb algorithm with the Tip-Top ZDSP on the pads and the solo to give some ambience to the mix.The stereo master output from Makenoise Rosie is recorded via an Akai Z4 Sampler in 24bit 48Khz and inserted in the video without any processing except for normalising."

"Based on my lovely wife's, Tania, recitation of the 'Scrisoarea 1' poetry by Mihai Eminescu and using Clouds to manipulate sounds, Episode 7 starts. I used here the Z3000 mkII as an LFO to control Clouds' Density and Freeze functions. System-1 is getting a sequence from Dark Time, Ti2 is playing a bass arp, Nord Rack 2 provides a broken bell and the Blofeld comes with the strings pad. The reciting was prerecorded, to avoid overdubbing of synths when I'm playing.

"VERMONA Synthesizer, the only analog mono-synth from former East Germany built during 1983 - 1990 in the 'VEB Klingenthaler Harmoniewerke'.

Classic 2-VCOs - VCF - VCA system with it's own character, good for leads, atmos, spooky sounds. In opposite to most russian synths from that time, the 24db/oct filter is smooth and warm, less harsh and agressive. A synth that create that somewhat strange mellow atmosphere I associate with that particular era...

VERMONA Synthesizer recorded directly into DAW, partly thru a delay (BOSS GT-6B) and added a little reverb from the DAW. No other dynamics or effects used.

In my view, you can get some really good spooky sounds and atmos out of this synth, but its real strength are lead sounds, simply wonderful!

There are some Midi-retrofits available for the VERMONA Synthesizer and I guess it shouldn't be too difficult to add a CV/Gate in with little soldering skills (nothing for Darth NoiseLab for sure :-)

A unique rare synth (1000 units were produced), underrated probably because it's not a bass monster. But it's a warm atmospheric sounding piece of synthesizer history with great lead capabilities.
