Custom Synth Panel Printer on Go Fund Me

For the DIYers out there:

Currently on Go Fund Me.

"Imagine being able to upload your full colour, custom panel designs on a website, then days later receiving the finished, photo quality panel in the post.

Nice Simple Process. Good Quality Product.

The technology is out there, it's just really fecking expensive.

At GMSN! I've been working for the past two years on a process for creating professional quality, alumium faceplates for Eurorack Modular Synthesisers. Together with a friendly screenprinter we've finally cracked it. The feedback from customers has been excellent. A common theme is that people are surprised how good the panels are, given the price. When you're showing your modular rig off, you want it to look the part...

But what you really want are custom panels. Your own design for your own custom modular rig. In full, photo quality colour.

The next step to acheiving this is to invest in a professional Solid Matter Direct Printing System.

This machine prints onto unsealed anodised alumium. The surface of the metal has small anodic pores which the special ink sucks into via capiliary action. After printing the panel is then heated at 95C for 45 mins. This seals the pores and creates a protective layer over the ink, giving a seriously hard wearing surface, critical for extensive knob twiddling.

These ain't cheap and the one we have shortlisted is £11,939.59.

Hence this campaign. (The reason we've gone with GoFundMe is that even if we don't reach the target, we can still partially fund the project, and secure the shortfall through traditional means.)"
