"Friend and author Paul Starr (https://twitter.com/pts) and I decided to do some collaboration on the OP-1. He started by sending me a drone, and I played on top of it. One OP-1 tape track to all four. This is the final track being laid down. All sounds from the OP-1.

These are fun. More drones to come."

Sequential Circuits Prophet-5 - Rev 2 SN 0492

"Many owners say the SSM chip based Rev 2 simply sounds better (significantly more rounded and fuller) than the other Revs. This is why the Rev 2 is the most coveted model of the Prophet lineage. This Prophet responds quick and predictable on all 61 keys. Response of the 61 keys, knobs, and switches are clean, accurate and precise.

I am the original owner of this Sequential Circuits Prophet 5 and personally delivered it to Sequential Circuits N 1st Street San Jose, CA for maintenance and upgrades. The Prophet 5 was recently serviced by Wine Country Productions Inc. (ex-Sequential techs) and passed an engineered functional test which systematically checks every aspect of the instrument to assure that all electronics and features are operating reliably and within factory specifications.

The Prophet 5 was designed to be a true 5 voice polyphonic analog synthesizer with the ability to store and recall patches. This particular Prophet 5 is a Rev 2 and although it does not have midi, Kenton Electronics makes a Profit 5 Midi Retrofit Kit for the Prophet 5 Rev 2.

Included: Original Prophet 5 Operational Manual plus original Release Sequential Circuits Release Footswitch. (Optional anvil flight case)"

Chiptunes II - "Arranging in Four Channels" is Now Live

via Soundfly:

"Ready to turn your beginner chip loops into intricate chip masterpieces? Well, Part Two of our Chiptune Crash Course will help you do just that. This micro-course will expand on what you've already learned about making music with old video game hardware using Little Sound Dj (LSDJ), a tracking software for the original Nintendo Game Boy that we introduced in Part One.

In this section we're going to learn how to use all four channels to make a more complex piece of music using multiple instruments and loops. We'll explore some of the different instruments you can access in LSDJ, learn how to tweak the sounds in each channel, and build our first drumbeat using the pulse and noise channels. Ready to take your chip loops to the next level? Dive in to start learning."

E-scape June 11th 2016 Electronic Artists

Bernd Kistenmacher http://www.berndkistenmacher.com/

E-Scape is the annual all day festival of live electronic and ambient music held at ‘The Cut Arts Centre‘ in Halesworth, Suffolk. It is usually held at the end of May, beginning of June, the week after the bank holiday weekend. The event is hosted by UK record label AD Music to promote traditional electronic music from around the globe. It usually features AD Music artists but is not exclusive to the label and always includes non AD Music artists.

It started as “the Bungay Bash” in 2009 and moved to Halesworth in 2015 as the newly named E-Scape. A unique selling point for the event, as of 2015, is that the ticket includes an audio ‘download’ of the event in high rate MP3 or Flac, or on USB stick, available 2 weeks after the event. This means that fans of the electronic music scene from around the world who are otherwise unable to attend can still hear the concert, albeit afterwards, and are also actively supporting their favourite acts and the electronic music scene by so doing."
