Amateur guide to the ARP 2600 contains swearing and impatience

Published on Oct 16, 2017 Ian o'Brien

"This is part one of a DIY series about the amazing musical possibilities within the ARP 2600 synthesizer.

There's a lot of bullshit, nonsense and outright rubbish about the ARP2600 on YouTube. Fallacies, mojo and outright falsehoods, to the left right and center.

I want to show what it really is, starting here with just the synth itself, no extras. The series will not focus on technical explanations. Only one goal - how to get a good sound out of it?

Forget the waffle.....The ARP2600 is *not* a science project or a weird curiosity it's a musical instrument .
I think the designers didn't properly understood this at the time.

I don't give an arse about the specs and details, this is about sound and how to make music x"
