Moana // How Far I'll Go Ft. Julia Henderson [80's Synthwave Cover]

Published on Jul 4, 2017 Ace Waters

"Moana's soundtrack managed to do what few new Disney movie soundtracks could do: Grow on me. The more I heard these songs, the more I actually fell in love with them (unlike Frozen....) And Julia is just super awesome, so I figured she would be a perfect fit for this synth heavy arrangement!

"The NF-1m has the same synth engine as the larger NF-1, just in a smaller footprint with fewer knobs. This necessitates more menu diving, but I found this to be pretty intuitive. As a trade off for the menu diving, you get a cheaper synth that is more portable, and also adds MIDI over USB."

"A little more CMS heavy on this track, making use of the 2nd independent osc bypassing the filter and a lovely section filthing up the Digitakt and Circuit with the CMS filter and distortions.
CMS really shines in the outro and shows how much of a beast it can be.
Peak is singing like a good un as usual but this experiment was more about the Circuit Mono Station hope you like it"
