Percussa Super Signal Processor - Conversation II - Demo featuring step sequencers

A new demo is up here.

"The demo was made by request from backers and eurorack enthousiasts, to show what can be done with the step sequencer module. If you have any demo requests send them our way! :-)

Some info on the demo: 2 sequencers, 1 Wavetable Osc, 2 LFOs, 1 EG (ADSR). The first LFO modulates the Z parameter of the wavetable osc, 1 sequencer modulates freq of the wavetable osc and triggers the ADSR while the other sequencer modulates freq/amp of the other (second) LFO. Manual tweaking of the first LFO frequency, sequencer pattern length, tempos, as well as live editing of sequencer steps. Also experimentation with cloud/spread feature of wavetable osc and manual tweaking of XY parameters of the wavetable oscillator. Sound passes through global delay and reverb section."

12-2-1A 0003 USE EITHER SIDE

If anyone knows what this did, feel free to leave a comment. It may or may not have been this.

via wikipedia: "When ALF began selling music cards for the Apple II, floppy disk drives were not yet common on the Apple, so the software was supplied on cassette tape.[25] ALF worked closely with a local cassette tape duplication company, helping them modify equipment designed for voice and music to copy cassettes with data in Apple's format. They asked ALF to design equipment to copy floppy disks so they could do business in that market as well, but ALF, wanting to focus on their own products, declined. When ALF later began offering the music card software on floppy disks, they quickly discovered that existing methods for copying the disks were slow and extremely unreliable. ALF went back to the cassette duplication company to work with them on creating floppy duplicators, but by that time the cassette company had decided not to enter the floppy business."

Roland SE-02 - 3 Patches - 3 Jams with TR8 - No External FX

Earmonkey Music
Published on Aug 11, 2017

"I start with three different patches and tweak a bit. There is nothing but live SE-02 with some delay, and a TR8. Here's what's happening:

0:00 Patch with Square LFO affecting the VCF. Slow beat from TR8
2:18 Starts with just a single Square Wave on VCO 1. Add a second on VCO 2 and get some thick creamy sounds. Open the filter and it sounds very Roland
4:45 Patch changes to single Saw Wave. Then I start cranking the Feedback Circuit and push it into 303 territory. This actually surprised me and I had no idea it was going to do this. I just rolled with it. It probably needs a sequencer to really shine here but all I had were my fingers at the moment
7:18 Moogy brass lead while sweeping the filter."

How To Learn Very Basics of FM Synthesis - 4 Operator FM Synth, FM4 Sound Design Tutorials

Power DX7
Published on Aug 11, 2017

"This FM synthesis tutorial series is designed for people who want to start a FM synthesis journey without complexity of the DX7 6 operator FM synthesis. I will show you how you can learn 4 operator FM synthesis using FM4. I will take you through sound design of the DX7 famous Bass 1 patch using FM4 with only 4 operators.

FM4 is an iPad FM synthesizer. FM4 can teach you how easy it is to make a great sound on a FM synth, using only 4 operators. Its interface is quite similar to analog synths, making transition from analog synths to FM synths easier and smoother."

Drum and Synth Sounds From The Noise Engineering Loquelic Iteritas Percido

Perfect Circuit Audio
Published on Aug 11, 2017

"This video has four patches demonstrating some of the percussion and melodic sounds that the Noise Engineering Loquelic Iteritas Percido can produce. The first patch is a bass synth with the VOSIM algorithm, the next a bell like synth sound with summation synthesis, the third a percussion sound made with phase modulation and the last a kick drum using summation synthesis.

The Loquelic Iteritas Percido, from Noise Engineering, is an expanded version of their well known oscillator, the Loquelic Iteritas, which turns it into a complete synthesizer voice. Now included is a built in envelope, which can be shaped and modulated by various CV signals if desired. Each parameter has a dedicated envelope modulation amount knob, to provide the perfect architecture for some of the most insane drum sounds possible. It is also able to reach harmonic worlds as well, allowing one to use it for basslines or leads. It still contains the extreme dual oscillator structure with the three algorithms present in the original.

The entire track was made with the OP-1 and reflects some of the possibilities. Only a bit of EQ was added in post production. It is an amazing instrument to bring when you travel or just to make music outside.

Some images and clips were generated using our custom neural image processing software (experimental)

Cirklon Note Capture (Feature Request)

Danny Piccione
Published on Aug 11, 2017

"This was a Max for Live patch I hacked together to intercept MIDI data between the Cirklon & Monologue in order to show how musical real time note feedback would be when used in Note Dub Record mode.

The M4L patch listens to the currently held keyboard note im playing, and swaps note values with the note Cirklon is sending out. Simultaneously Note Dub Record mode is active, so once the sequence loops back to the start (4 bars in this case), you can hear the newly recorded notes being played back.

You can hear how I start with every note in the sequence as D# and develop from there. Very fun to come up with something basic and then start adding different notes in various spots throughout the sequence. Especially fun to play alongside some sequenced modulation (in this case envelope mod & filter cutoff on the Monologue)."
