Roland JV-880 Analog Synth Sounds Demo & Comparison with the JD-990

Published on Jan 25, 2018 synthlegends

"No typical 90ies stuff, no pianos, no whistles, no mallets and bells.

Just great emulations of analog and classic synths of the 70ies and 80ies, like Minimoog, Mellotron, Solina, Prophet 5, CS-80, OBXa, Jupiter 8, Juno and only typical sounds, like Basses, Leads, Pads, Strings, Brasses, Sequences and so on.

I only recorded one patch at the same time, no performances and no overdubbing. I used only the JV-880 with the Expansion Card JV80 4 Vintage Keys.

There are only custom sounds and some sounds from this expansion card. Everything is played life without midi. There are no additional effects and mastering.

Of my opinion the JV-880 is the best sounding synth from the complete JV series and a really great very underrated synth."

Roland JV-880 vs JD-990

"Comparision of the two beast. IMO the JV-80/880 is the best of the JV series synthesizer soundwise. I just recorded the same Midi-Files with fist JV-880 and second JD-990. Sounds came from the Expansion Card JV-80 04 vintage keys, the first 28 patches."
