This fully analog machine has some of the nicest sounding drum sounds going. Punchy, deep, clear, hypnotic sounds. With excellent rhythm patterns to go along with them.
Each of the preset rhythm patterns cycle through three rhythm variations.
This machine also has a fantastic chord / bass / three voice arpeggiator, which can be played with a foot pedal controller or mini keyboard (like a three note poly synth) and choosing combinations of voices and patterns to go along with the rhythms can create a huge number of variations. The accompaniment side of the machine is not demonstrated in this video. I hope to show it in a subsequent video."

Very nice machine. Fully analog sound generation. Chords can be played using the bass foot pedals or small keyboard, both of which were available as an option when new.

"A little demo of a the last available Godwin Drummaker 45 for sale - just back from extensive repairs it sounds marvelous!
Some spring reverb and echo from the Solton Cathedral E-2000 unit.
Condition is very good with some oxidation on front panel which tend to happen with these - we put down some anti-oxidation to halt it in its tracks so should not deteriorate further down the line.
The keys of the keyboard have some minor scratches and miss-coloration up close.
We demo the one finger mode towards the end of the video - along with the Orchestral arpeggiator mode - good fun."

"Made by Italian manufacturer Sisme, the Godwin String Concert 249 has 49
non-velocity sensitive keys. You can mix together the three sound sources (Cello
16' / Viola 8' / Violin 4') and process them through the bass, treble, chorus
and tremolo controls. The output section comprises Attack and Sustain and Master
Volume. Tuning is done with a rotary control on the rear panel, and the mono
output is via a high or low-output 1/4" jack sockets. There is also an
expression pedal socket (this is not sustain pedal socket though)."

Built in to a tolex case with removable lid and carry handle, which is all in excellent condition with no tears or scuffs, this is a classic analogue string machine with a 4 octave keyboard and hands-on controls for all parameters. Cello, Viola, and Violin voices are 16', 8' and 4' so each 1 octave apart and each layer has a volume slider. There are master treble and bass sliders, Attack and Release settings, and master volume, as well as the unique and dreamy Chorus/Tremolo section with separate sliders for each (rather than the simple on/off switch of say the Solina) giving the ability to vary the classic analogue chorus effect from subtle to swirling and thick."

"The Godwin Drummaker 45 Computer System is an Italian Auto drum machine / Arpeggiator / Bass / Chord Arranger from 1976.
It was originally the rhythm section of the huge organ with the same name, but a few stand-alone units with a two octave keyboard controller were produced as well.
Very nice and warm analog sounds. It's quite complex, with many variations, less ompa-ompa compared to other similiar machines from that era.
Run through a Space Echo 301 with added chorus, echo and spring reverb."
This one is in via someone looking for some more info on it. This is the first one I've seen, so I'm a bit curious myself. His main question is how to get sound out of it. If you look at the back you will see a MIDI out jack, a Rec/Play jack that looks like a MIDI/DIN jack, and proprietary Keyboard and Pedalboard connectors. If you are familiar with the CD 2 or Godwin organ synths from this period please leave a comment or reach out via email (you can find the email link on the bottom right of the site). Here's what the person that sent it in said:
"Hi i just recently got into synth`s and i bought my self a kawai k1, while roaming my local thrift shops i found what seems to be a drum module that i bought. i started searching on the web for info for this digital drum but i never saw the exact this version but i did found alot of godwins on matrixsynths, and tought you guys would be the perfect ones to ask about this. im woundring if you have any infomation regarding this module and also if you know what sort of connector the keyboard and pedal board is (the blue connector pins with what seems to be a hook) it would be awesome to find this connector so that i could get some sound out it, i have put 12 photos in this email of this module hope this helps"
"Incredible string synth this, from Italian supremos Sisme. For many of us synth lovers it's the strings holy grail (along with the Godwin 849 String Symphony which is basically the same string engine plus some extra bells and whistles). UK/European voltage with UK plug fitted, fully working and sounding amazing, all slider caps present, keys haven't yellowed too much, logos bright and clear, wooden ends in great shape, whole thing very clean indeed. Bar some minor age related wear and tear which we can expect and forgive on a late 1970's/early 1980's synth, and some residue from an old sticker near the name logo, this is a beautiful example. Complete with full Tolex case (built-in case base and removable lid), also in well used but nice honest solid condition."
