"MPG-70 is a 7U rackmountable/desktop controller for JX-10, JX-8P, and MKS-70 synthesizers. The MPG-70 features panel knobs and sliders to control all 44 original PG-800 parameters, plus all extra parameters added by the Vecoven firmware and PWM upgrades. A knob box for your Roland D-05, D-50, & D-550. On a personal note, I recently picked up a D-05 and was thinking about selling it due to the deep menu diving. That and there is no central editing per patch. The D-05 and D-50 are kind of like four synths in one - two "Partials" with an "Upper" and "Lower" voice each for a total of four sources that you edit independently. There is no central filter, no central envelopes, etc., so you are stuck menu diving to edit each part. Think of it like each oscillator having it's own full set of synth parameters - powerful, but a true pain to edit. Yes you can get the hang of it, but there is no way to avoid the number of additional steps it takes to get to parameters. This controller appears to solve that problem. It comes in at 299 euro which currently equates to about 339 USD. For those on a budget, Coffeeshopped makes an editor for Patch Base on the iPad.

The Price
To make one controller costs about 500$. Only at a scale of 200 pieces can we lower the price to about half that. We would love to offer it even cheaper, but it is not possible without significant loss of quality. So many rotary knobs and encoders have their price, as well as the front panel, the circuit board etc. Nevertheless at about 4E per knob of this controller, it is not more expensive than other midi controllers..."

The campaign starts with four proposed devices: an analog mono synth, analog drum synth including eurorack modules, and envelop module, and a analog controller that is already developed. There are a few other prototype pics further below.

"The second prototype, a monotone lead synth, is called 'Thundervolt MKI'. It features two oscillators, an Attack-Decay-Release envelope, a special one pole filter and several stages of distortion. The synthesizer is able to create sounds ranging from industrial and percussive sounds to harmonic bells, interplanetary pads and distorted basses - and numerous further electronic moods."

"Demo for the Stereoping Synth Programmer for the Rhodes Chroma (with CC+ Midi Interface). 3 rack units high, convertible from rackmount to desktop with optional Woodcheeks, 3.5 kg steelcase, 45 knobs, direct access to all parameters of the Chroma, clear text values on display for Patch Modes, Waveforms, Modulation sources and others. This quick demo is not that comprehensive, i just wanted to record at least something before the owner of the Chroma gets his Synth back. The Video contains two parts of turning knobs while some sequences of the MPC1000 are sending Midi notes to the Chroma. The first clip covers the basics, the second is about the 'Relative' Mode which allows keeping value intervals between Channel A and B for tuning and time relevant parameters."
