Selmer Clavioline Auditorium Rare Vintage Valve/Tube Synth

Note: Auction links are affiliate links for which the site may be compensated.

via this auction

"This rare Selmer valve 'synth' is in good working order - was serviced on behalf of the previous owner a year or so ago.
The outer case that houses the amp has been repainted and has had modern catches fitted.
The connecting cable looks to have been refurbished.
It plays well, keyboard is even and in good order and all switches seem to work as they should.
Sold as parts or not working simply because we can't guarantee it to be perfect - the tuning seems very good, but as we're not accepting returns, it's auctioned as-is.
The sound of the Tornados Telstar."

"Selmer SM-101 Auto Rhythm drum machine from the 70's.

Working well.

Small things better to mention:

-The light is not flashing.

-The snares / hihats are maybe getting noisy when turning the balance from soft to clear
(but I'm not sure it's an issue, maybe it's sounds like this originally).

- the wood box is a bit weary.

Voltage is 220, plug is european type."

ERP Tempo-Tuner (KNOB-THEREMIN!)

YouTube Uploaded by AutomaticGainsay on May 14, 2011

"The Electronic Research Products Tempo-Tuner is a device meant to be a bandroom tuner and metronome. The one I have has lost some functionality over time, but the "variable" setting still works. It occurred to me that if its pitch was consistent, I could label the various pitches and play the thing like a musical instrument. This video is documentation of that thrilling process."

"Selmer Clavioline testing.
Seems to work fine :)"

via this auction

"Here for auction is this very rare vintage synthesizer made in the late 50's - early 60's. This was one of the first electronic synthesizers and was quite advanced for its time. For those of you that have never heard of the Clavioline please have a look at this website"

OMD Live in Paris 1979 / Intro Statues Bunker Soldiers

YouTube via PlastikOD. Anyone know what synths they used back then? I spotted a KORG MS20.

Update via Micke in the comments:
"The material on their eponymous debut album was recorded around that time, ie from mid-to-late 1979.

On that album they used the following setup:
Korg micro-preset
Selmer pianotron (type of electro-mechanic keyboard sounding not unlike vibes or a xylophone)
Elgam Symphony combo-organ (2-manual) and Vox Continental.
Korg MS-20
Roland CR-78 drum-machine
and a left-handed bass-guitar."
