"Starting to make this monster musical.
Main bassline is STEFFCORP ARP2600 Modules.
3x Oscillarp VCOs, 2x Envelarp ADSRs, 2612 VCF and a Arplifier VCA.
Also Frequency Central's LFO range giving the Steffcorp modules some PWM movement, with Doepfer Spring Reverb & some Maths fucking with the FC Raging Bull and Electro Cardiogram filters on the noisy bits.

Time to go John Foxx I think..."

Steffcorp - ARP 2600 Eurorack Modules by Rickard Steffensen

It looks like have a new eurorack manufacturer in town, Steffcorp from Rickard Steffensen (see the Steffensen channel for previous posts).   Steffcorp appears to be the new official branding for his work.  According to the about page Steffcorp will initially focus on ARP 2600 modules in eurorack format.

"After passionately working with synthesisers for over 20 years, doing both music and a lot of sound-design, i started a journey 2 years ago recreating my favourite synthesiser of all time – the ARP 2600.

As the eurorack format seemed to have the most to offer, and having worked with software/DSP modular’s for quite some time, i soon realised this was the format of my choice rather than locking myself in to a closed structure. Nothing wrong with that obviously (!), just not my kind of thing...

I am now working hard on getting a full voice of 2600 modules out the door, followed by other even older designs that deserves to be revived!"

The following is their current line-up:

VCF 2612

"This is a clone of the 4012 VCF used in the ARP 2600.
Other than some substituted parts and a “sandwich-layout” mainly adjusted for the eurorack standard, I have tried to keep all the original quirks as close to the original as possible.

The 'sandwich-layout' simply means the VCF is split in 2x PCB’s mounted in parallel on top of each other.
The Core-PCB contains the main circuit, while the Control-PCB contains the controlling elements as well as the buffers."

Oscillarp – VCO

"This is a eurorack-clone of the 4027-1 VCO used in the ARP 2600.
Other than some needed part substitutes, removal of low-frequency option, added hard sync and a “sandwich-layout” adjusted mainly for eurorack, I have stuck with keeping it as close to the original as possible.
This means it will retain all the original quirks of the 4027-1, which also enhances the personality of the oscillator.

The 'sandwich-layout' simply means the VCO is split in 2x PCB’s mounted in parallel on top of each other.

Envelarp – ADSR/AR

"This is a eurorack-clone of the 4020 ADSR/AR used in the ARP 2600.
Other than some substituted parts, an added comparator on the input and a layout mainly adjusted for the eurorack standard, I have tried to keep all the original quirks as close to the original as possible.

Sometimes less options is a good thing. Sometimes you want good results fast.
This is where the Envelarp comes in. With it’s down-to-the-point controls, it can quickly help you dial in your needs without getting stuck in options.

From smacky snappiness to the softest swell, it does all this with ease.
However, even with its “limited” controls, it still offers a great deal of experimentation if you wish.
With a separate input for Gate and Trig, one can create some very interesting results. Especially combined with various Gate lengths."

Arplifier – VCA

"This is a eurorack-clone of the 4019 VCA used in the ARP 2600.
Other than some substituted parts and a “sandwich-layout” mainly adjusted for the eurorack standard, I have tried to keep everything it as close to the original as possible.

The “sandwich-layout” simply means the VCA is split in 2x PCB’s mounted in parallel on top of each other.

"Illustrated Compendium of Musical Technology by Tristram Cary Good condition. Dust cover ratty, but included. This very rare book has held up quite well over the years. It's a guide to technology written in a style. It's not voiceless facts, it's a distillation of a man's life's work. Extremely scarce book for which there is no equal."

DSI Pro 2 Synthesizer Video Extras

"After editing my initial videos on the DSI Pro 2, I had a lot of footage left over. It sounded really cool and I hated to let it go to waste. Here is some of it with minimal editing. Just hit play and let it wash over you. It's the Pro 2 by itself, modulating Moog synths, being modulated by Moog synths, synced to Ableton Live and more. Hear more at www.experimentalsynth.com"
