"At NAMM 2015 Thomas Shaver from Roland plays only a drum kit from the Roland JD-Xi for Synthbug. The video allows us all to clearly hear what the drums on the JD-Xi will sound like and see how quickly one can tweak effects and play the sequencer. Audio was recorded 48k 24 bit stereo into my recorder."

"What better way to relive the moon landing than with a modular synth soundtrack! After putting this patch together, I found this footage and it seemed to fit perfectly, so I played in sync with the video. I even threw in some alien screams and space noise for kicks.

Patched together in one evening, feeling inspired after spending the weekend at the 2015 NAMM Show in Anaheim!

No computers were used in this song, other than the pressing the space bar to play footage from the landing.

This really showcases Audio Damage's Grainshift module, since I mixed the entire patch through it about midway, generating 'space noise' with the chaos and size knobs.

Audio recorded into an iPhone via Apogee, then synced it to the video recorded with a GoPro Hero 4 via iMovie. (The GoPro has terrible audio inputs)

* Intellijel Planar CV X to Intellijel Triatt IN A
* Intellijel Triatt OUT C to Toppobrillo Quantimator (this configuration effectively allows Channel A to scale the range of quantization, and Channels B/C can be used as offsets)
* Toppobrillo Sport Modulator END into Quantimator TRIG input
* Quantimator output 1 to Intellijel Rubicon 1V/Oct

A Rubicon triangle wave is being monitored and run through Valhalla Reverb."

"Using the Octatrack to sample my bass. The OT is serving as a harmonizer for my bass so I can make chords very easy and jam with them. All sounds are made from the bass and the percussion. This works well with voice too! I have an Eventide space for some extra reverb and a little mackie mixer for routing, but you could do this without the Eventide or the mixer really, I just liked having options at the time. Thanks for checking it out."
