X1L3 - circuit bent Casio PT-80 with midi retrofit + eurorack - Synthetic industrial

Published on Jul 24, 2016 manufacturedZ3R0

Watch your volume levels on this one to start.

"Casiotone industrial.

Playing the Pt-80 via midi from reason. An A/R generator is hooked up to the CV input to apply an envelope to the filter cutoff. This comes into play more prominently as the video progresses. The circuit bent aspect isn't really used here and the video focuses on the midi, delay and filter. It is however more than capable of excelling in the fucked up noise arena :)

Additional tronix:

XILE Midi retrofit on channel 15
PT2399 delay
Steiner synthacon resonant filter
Front mounted led array (midi activity indicator)
Regulated internal psu board

Raw bends:

Pitch control
Kick mute
Snare mute
Hi hat mute
Chord mute
Lead boost
Drum boost
Drum/lead combined distortion - merges the two in a dirty sort of way"

TUBULAR BELLS - ANALOG SYNTH LIVE IMPRO - OPENING THEME

Published on Jul 24, 2016 Gary Hayes
Update: Re-Published on Jul 25, 2016

"Been a fan of Mike Oldfield’s 1973 Opus since a teenager and although I can play much of it on guitars, harps, bass and wind instruments, this afternoon I had a tinker in my open photo gallery (yes a few folk were browsing towards the end section again!) using one of my OTB keyboard setups (I am using for original works). I love the opening sequence with its odd time signatures and downward chord progressions so just did a little prep on the Analog 4 (time sigs and sounds) and set off. The only part I rehearsed a few times was the 3/4 downward chord section, otherwise all other parts I knew and this is not meant to be a verbatim structure of course.

Instruments: Roland System 1 for back sequences, Ensoniq MR Rack for strings, Analog 4 for bass, main riff, flute riff and arp harmony, piano and Kaoss for solo parts. I was going to add my new Volca Beats and Keys, but it would have lost a little ‘purity’ if I did that."

SEGA「SUPER HANG-ON」より「Winning Run」を「TX816」で作りました♪

Published on Jul 24, 2016 NozMusic

Patch Notes #8 - Korg SQ-1 Eurorack Modulations

Published on Jul 24, 2016 Voltage Control Lab

"Episode #8 of Patch Notes explores the Korg SQ-1 as a Eurorack modulation source, controlling the pitch of the bass on one channel, and wobble rate on the other.

Tempi is clocking SQ1, which has an 8 step sequence with a 2 volt range on Channel A controlling the wobble rate on the Slope section of the 0-Coast. A 4 step sequence on Channel B is controlling the pitch of the 0-Coast Oscillator, which is playing the bass part.

Tempi is also clocking the René, the QCV output of which is controlling the pitch on Braids, while the fluctuating random out from the Wogglebug modulates the FM input in Meta mode, scrubbing through the wave programs. The stepped random output on the 0-Coast is multed and routed to both the Timbre and Color controls on the Braids.

Braids is routed through Ripples VCA output, which is being triggered via Maths Channel 4. The Fall time is modulated by the CV output from René. Channel 1 is cycling in a long triangle shape, and output to the 1v/oct input on the TipTop Audio Z3000. The sine output is routed to the Ripples FM input.

Tempi is also clocking Brains and Pressure Points, modulating the Basimilus Iteritas Decay, retriggering the cycling Slope section of the 0-Coast, and sending 2 rows of PP through the Doepfer 151-2 Sequential Switch. From the 151-2, the sequence is sent on to the Ornament and Crime CV 4 input, which is modulating the channel D Euclidean Fill amount in Piqued mode (also clocked by Tempi).

Ornament and Crime is then routed out to the Envelator, which is modulating both filters on the Dual Borg, to produce the kick drum.

The Sputnik Oscillator and Malekko Anti-Oscillator are generating LFOs and cross-modulating each other, each then routed to modulate the PItch, Morph, Fold, and Spread on the BI.

Trigger sequences for Braids and the BI are coming from the Varigate 4, each with heavily randomized note probability and repeats. All channels are then routed through the Mix4 and on to Warps for some delay magic.
