Perplex On - Polyscope (Ambient Electro feat. iPhone)

Perplex On
Published on Aug 6, 2017

"This is a musicvideo inspired by the fact that i had to travel a lot by train over the last years. Most of the time i use this time to calm down, reflecting, sorting thoughts, watching the landscape passing by and being somehow fascinated by the omnipresent clash between the organic, natural environment and the distracting, abstract, artifical forms and evolving transformations of the human infrastructure.

Tech Info: Filmed with an iPhone 5S, edited with Premiere Pro. Music made on an iPhone in one take using the following apps: Poly, iVCS3, Animoog, Amazing Noises Reverb"

"This is a practice session for a live gig I recorded a couple of weeks ago. My wife and I usually perform as Laser Pig, but I was flying solo this time. There are a few rough edges while I warm up!

I'm sequencing a Nord Lead 12 voice, a Yamaha Cs2x, using a mini KP for delay and samples and beats mostly coming from Renoise 3.1 on an old netbook.

0:10 - Weaponised Unicorn
3:25 - Middle Class Murders in Space
8:18 - Pocket Acid
12:02 - Uber Comp (with well timed real life ambulance through the window)
16:55 - Tooling Up Sequence"

How to Build Sawtooth Shaped Wooden Side Panels for Your Synths

Jens Paldam
Published on Aug 6, 2017

"Wooden panels usually serve only one function, and that is to lend vintage class and credibility to your synthesizer, mixer, vibraphone et cetera, and maybe to be fair, they also protect the corners of your device from damage. But, I thought that it would be great to create panels, that actually had a function. The function here being holding together modular cases. Both the ones of my own cardboard design or those of my beloved Moog Mother 32’s.
