HUNDRED OSCILLATOR MEGA DRONE SYNTH

Published on Oct 29, 2017

"How many analog oscillaors is too many? i tried to work that out, but instead just made an extremely intense sounding box.

This would not have been possible without the supporters on patreon! thanks! https://www.patreon.com/lookmumnocomp...

This was a pretty big undertaking, i lost my will to live at the start of the week the amount of soldering required nearly defeated me, but luckily obsessive persistance did the trick! it looks quite daunting but actually in concept its really simple, its literally just the same circuit over and over and over and ov......... the next job is to add an add on module which controls the overall pitch so you can use it as a massive bass line generator of a robot atmosphere in a movie sound track! you will see me in the video reaching around the back of the box to change the notes! all im doing is flicking the voltage switch on the power brick! haha.

more info on the circuit and other info will be coming on my patreon within the next week if you really want to build one! or even a 10 oscillator synth with a filter and all that stuff.

link to a video of an early design of the oscillator i used is right here :"

Minimoog, Sonic 6 & two 1130 drum controllers...

Published on Oct 29, 2017 noddyspuncture

"Here I am playing both Minimoog and Sonic 6 with my two Moog 1130 drum controllers. You could literally go on for hours doing this... and tweaking the synths, getting different sounds. I'm no drummer but could imagine a drummer making it a lot more interesting. I think I'll try playing with my hands on the next video... :)"

YAMAHA SK15 String Machine 1979 | HD DEMO

Published on Oct 29, 2017 AnalogAudio1

"(c) 2017 by AnalogAudio1

Synthesizer Demo of the analog synthesizer/string machine YAMAHA SK-15. I played with a delay effect from a Korg SDD-3000 (right channel only - the left channel is dry).

Yamaha's SK-series are string machines with additional sections (poly-synth, mono-synth, brass, organ, depending on the model). The SK15 is some kind of cut down version of the SK-20. It has "ORGAN", "STRING" and "POLY-SYNTH" sections, they all are mixable. The Poly-Synth section has a nice analog filter (but only one for all voices). 1 mono output for all sections. A nice string machine! It competed with Crumar Performer and Korg Delta."

ALTAIR 231 - SOVIET ANALOG SYNTHESIZER with MIDI

"It is a 3-OSC monophonic precise equivalent of infamous western MINIMOOG MODEL D, produced in the USSR in 1986 by Elektroizmeritel military factory in Zhitomir. Altair-231 is a refined version of another well-known soviet analog synthesizer Estradin-230. Both synths has identical electronic architecture, functionality and rich sound palette. Estradin-230 was manufactured from early to middle eighties and then Estradin factory changed synth`s design (new casing) and labelled it as "Altair-231". So Estradin-230 & Altair-231 are the same machines only in different bodies.

Synth has 4-octave keyboard (F-C) with velocity (sensitivity assign to vibrato effect). For live performance there is a wheel which provides pitch shift. ALTAIR-231 is based on 3-VCO (OSC-3 can work as the modulator), 1 VCF (lowpass 24dB/oct) with ADSR, 1 VCA, 3 LFO, noise generator (white/pink), glide, memory. It has an EXTERNAL INPUT allowing to use FILTER and GENERATORS with OTHER INSTRUMENTS such as guitars, synths, etc! ALTAIR-231 consists of 5 main sections - OSC, MIXER, MODULATION, FILTER and AMP."

Yamaha CS-60 8-Voice Synthesizer

"Fully functional Yamaha CS60 synth. It has just been fully serviced by Retrolinear in the Philadelphia area. Retrolinear knows CS60s very well - they routinely service them for clients, including a few touring musicians who are still using them (Page McConnell of Phish being one of his clients). I have attached the invoice showing details of the work.

Functionally - Every slider, switch, the ribbon controller, and especially important, the aftertouch all work flawlessly. All voices function and are in tune.

Cosmetically - My CS60 is in excellent shape. The silkscreen is near perfect and the entire control panel has only like 2 very small chips and one scrape mark from a fader cap digging into the panel (pictured). The two chips are just above the keybed so don't take away from the cleanliness of the control panel (one is pictured). The tolex on the case is original and in very good condition - again, excellent considering its age.

Overall - This synth was never abused. It spent most of its life in the home of a musician - it was never toured.

The original tolexed hard cover and removable music stand are included - the stand attaches to the inside of the lid. I do not have the original legs. The CS-60 gets you most of the CS-80 sound at a fraction of the cost. The aftertouch truly adds to the expressiveness of the synth."
