March 2019, Italy - Tiptop Audio, the Californian modular synthesizer brand, in partnership with Lattexplus leading event organisation in Florence since 2010 and Synth Café the Italian synth web community are proud to announce the third edition of MEFF at the Impact Hub Florence and BUH! Circolo culturale urbano on the 6th and 7th of April 2019. The fair will involve more than 30 International synthesizer brands and distributors with workshops and performances in an event free to the public.

MEFF returns to Impact Hub coworking in Florence and BUH! Circolo culturale urbano to set up its event, which will include an Exhibitor area where attendees can explore, learn, interact, demo and purchase instruments. The Performance area, called the Auditorium, part of BUH! Circolo culturale urbano is a room acoustically designed by the sound designer and engineer Donato Masci. In the evenings, the location will host workshop and performances including a soldering workshop by Brno brand BASTL Instruments.

The initiative engages a number of producers and suppliers of modular synthesizers along with the most advanced technologies in the field of electronic music production. Along with Tiptop Audio first complete system, you will find Roland with a demo on the System-500 by Gianni Proietti, Yamaha, Erica Synths, Livestock Electronics, the Dutch Gynko Synthèse and Error Instruments duo and Tangible Waves.
MEFF is proud to host also some of the most important Italian sellers as Milk Audio and Martin Pas stores. Amongst the Italian dealers Midiware will showcase Arturia, Moog, Novation, Waldorf, Teenage Enginnering and Modal Electronics products. GRP, Frap Tools and Qosmo Modular will be amongst the exhibitors as well.

MEFF confirms itself as a growing event in the heart of Italy: an ideal platform that gathers together entrepreneurs, manufacturers, producers and musicians in the field of electronic music through meetings and presentations. The aim of the fair is to raise more awareness within the general public about this technological sector in continuous growth.

This year's program does not end at BUH! Circolo Culturale Urbano on Saturday, the 6th. As for the first edition of MEFF, the party continues "at night" and moves to Tenax club for a night show with Alex Neri, one of the resident DJs of the Florentine club's Nobody's Perfect parties. Founder of Tenax Recordings - which over the years has launched many artists such as Federico Grazzini, Ilario Alicante, Luca Bacchetti, Minimono, Federico Locchi and Sonothèque - Neri is a forerunner of sonority and musical styles and in the club, he manages to best express his love for music in an amazing mix between his productions and the best of house music. Alongside him there will be 3 amazing live acts: Tulioxi's cosmic live with trip Indie and Italo Disco built around a system of modular synthesizers and a laptop, the duo The Analog Session composed by Alexander Robotnik and Ludus Pinsky who will perform with 70s vintage synths creating a unique sound and a "progressive" spirit where the ability to improvise is the main element. To finish the Berlin side of the team beahind Tiptop Audio, Konstantin Gervis, half of the duo ZV_K is capable of real live techno marathons of modular that will shake the walls of Tenax with its lashing waves made out of acid and industrial techno.
