"Up for grabs is a white UDO DMNO in like new condition. Comes with all manuals and UK power cable. Seller used briefly before putting back into the box. This is a fantastic new design approach from UDO with equally fantastic sounding filters to boot. Imagine Oberheim Xpander-type filter types with a Roland-style flavor, multiple types of FM, and numerous voicing modes, and you're just starting to get an idea of the power of this synth."

Ambient improvisation with UDO DMNO

video upload by Martin Stürtzer

"This is my first ambient improvisation with the new UDO DMNO synthesizer. Part 1 starts with a deep unison drone, followed by a pad sound played on the upper layer. Then I change the patch to a modulated pad sound. Part 2 shows the DMNO with sequencer patterns.

The DMNO is a lot of fun to program, I made the five patches today. The delay is from the internal effects, I added an external reverb to the sounds. Recorded and mixed in Bitwig 6.

All music was created by a (cat assisted) human. No AI tools were involved in the production of the music and artwork."

UDO DMNO Demo | Hazel Mills' factory patches

video upload by Hazel Mills

"What an honour it is to have designed these factory patches for the very exciting new synth by ⁨@udo_audio⁩ - the DMNO (pronounced 'DOMINO' btw).

Please note that these are not a selection of patches across all banks on the synth, only the ones I created. There are many more that are wonderous, made by sonic wizards like ‪@truecuckoo‬, which will feature in my next video for their own channel. Hang tight!"

It's Finally Here // UDO DMNO Review and demo

video upload by Starsky Carr

"The UDO Domino *is here… and it might be one of the most interesting hybrid synths we’ve seen in years. In this full demo, review, and walkthrough, I explore what makes this *8-voice hybrid polysynth so unique — from its dual synth architecture to its incredibly flexible filter section and deep modulation capabilities.

With FPGA oscillators, analog-style waveforms, 32 digital waves, and a powerful dual-engine design inspired by classic SEM-style layouts, the Domino sits somewhere between vintage character and modern sonic experimentation. And yes… it can get beautifully weird.

In this video, you’ll hear real-world sound demos, explore the interface, and see how far you can push this synth — from lush pads to aggressive, experimental textures.

🎛️ What you’ll learn in this video:
Overview of the UDO Domino architecture
Dual synth engines (Domino 1 & 2) and layering possibilities
FPGA oscillators + digital waveforms
Deep modulation options (LFOs, envelopes, cross-modulation)
Advanced filter modes: low pass, band pass, high pass, phase & more
Stereo, parallel & series routing
Effects: chorus, drive, delay, reverb & EQ
Play modes, binaural mode & voice variations
Real sound demos and performance examples

🎧 Why this synth stands out
The Domino goes far beyond a traditional polysynth. With extreme flexibility in routing, modulation, and filtering, it behaves more like an experimental sound design tool than a conventional keyboard — while still being intuitive and hands-on.

🎹 My verdict
This isn’t just another synth — it’s a playable, exploratory instrument that encourages experimentation and rewards creativity. If you like synths that go beyond the obvious… this one’s worth a serious look."

UDO DMNO Playing Some Presets // Sounds Only

video upload by Starsky Carr

"The UDO DMNO has finally arrived. I have a full demo/review/walkthrough coming... but in the meantime here's a random selection of 22 sounds for those interested in what it can do.

The DMNO looks are inspired by the Oberheim SEM, but look under the surface.. and it's doing a whole lot more."

Starsky Carr's Studio: Vintage & Modern Synth Setup Explained

video upload by Starsky Carr

"Welcome to a full synth studio tour — a look inside my hardware setup featuring vintage analog synths, modern wavetable instruments, modular gear and classic drum machines.

See how a mix of vintage synths, modern instruments, modular gear and drum machines all come together in one integrated setup. In this video I walk through the studio, explain how everything is connected, and show some of the instruments that regularly appear on the channel.

The studio is constantly evolving as new synths arrive, others get repaired, and different setups are tested for videos. In this walkthrough you'll see how classic gear like the Juno-60, Prophet series, Minimoog, TR-808, TR-909 and Jupiter synths sit alongside modern instruments such as the UDO Super 8, Groove Synthesis 3rd Wave, Waldorf M, Arturia PolyBrute and Roland System-8.

I also explain how everything is routed through the studio — from CV-controlled vintage synths integrated with MIDI, to the AudioFuse interface and Neve summing mixer that handle the audio side of things.

If you've ever wondered how to organise a hardware synth studio, integrate vintage CV instruments with modern DAWs, or just want to see a room full of iconic synths and drum machines, this video gives you a behind-the-scenes look at the setup behind the channel.

You’ll also hear a few stories along the way — including the slightly ridiculous “six degrees of separation” link from my studio gear to Charlize Theron and Kevin Bacon through the Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels soundtrack.

Whether you're into analog synthesis, wavetable synths, modular gear, or classic drum machines, this studio tour is packed with gear, ideas and inspiration.

Gear featured (selection)

• Roland Juno-60
• Roland Jupiter series
• Moog Minimoog, Voyager % Sub37
• Sequential Prophet synths
• Oberheim OBX8 and OB6
• UDO Super 8
• Groove Synthesis 3rd Wave
• Waldorf M
• Arturia PolyBrute
• Roland System-8
• TR-808 / TR-909 drum machines
• Analog Solutions Leipzig & Fusebox
• Modular & Eurorack gear"

A Modern Jupiter? Can the UDO SUPER 8 Fulfill the Same Role as a Vintage Jupiter 8?

video upload by Starsky Carr

"Is the UDO Super 8 the modern equivalent of the legendary Roland Jupiter-8? Or does the original analog icon still reign supreme? Or was this just an elaborate excuse for me to get the Jupiter 8 on camera :)

In this video I put the UDO Super 8 and Roland Jupiter-8 head-to-head to see how close modern synth design can get to one of the most iconic polysynths ever made. Forget nostalgia for a moment — what happens when you simply listen to them as two instruments?

We explore the sound, architecture, features, modulation, oscillators, filters, and overall character of both synths to answer the question many synth players are asking:
Can a modern hybrid synth compete with one of the greatest analog synths ever built?

The Super 8 clearly takes inspiration from the Jupiter-8, but it also introduces modern features and flexibility that vintage synths simply didn’t have. So which one would you choose in your studio?

By the end of the video we compare:

Raw sound and tone
Oscillator character
Filters and modulation
Modern workflow vs vintage simplicity
Features and flexibility
And finally… the price difference that might surprise you

Whether you're into vintage synths, modern analog hybrids, classic Roland gear, or cutting-edge instruments like the UDO Super 8, this comparison will give you a clear idea of what each synth does best."

"As the second synth in the 'Super' series, the Gemini represents a quantum leap in UDO's technology – building on the acclaimed rich sound pioneered by George Hearn and the Super 6. Adopting a true-stereo Binaural signal path with dual FPGAs and twin effects processors, Gemini will take you on an adventure of spectral dynamics, of glittering frequency and shattering subharmonics, of comfort and discord, expectations and surprises."

UDO DMNO - It's bad

video upload by Noir Et Blanc Vie - After Hours

"Subjective opinions within, those who do not understand subjective opinion may be excused lol

Boring NAMM 2026 Noir here again lol
DUH, it's bad ass, OBVIOUSLY, the UDO team are kings of giving us classssssy old school sounds, amazing futuristic soundscapes all while putting it inside a gorgeuos box, imagine being able to get down on something that feels as good as it looks. See people as a musician, sound isn't everything, it's playability, it's easy of use, it's also is something inspirational. The DMNO is every single one of those things. Synths have gone stale, it honestly sucks, I'm not a synth crazy person, I'm a musician who loves cool instruments, getting excited has been real hard the last few years, hence why I've been playing shows and making albums way more. Can't be stuck inside playing the same ole thing companies think is 'groundbreaking, you should be excited' UDO is the truth, and they did it again. This is truly the new Cream Dream."
