Vermona Retroverb Spring Reverb Analog Filter

via this auction

"Most spring verbs are always noisy and this is one of the quietest I've heard and it sounds great and just a reverb unit. Then the analog filter has an envelope which is triggered by your incoming audio which is amazing because it's like it's a beat synced effect even though there is no midi to deal with. Having the spring reverb and original audio being swept by the filter is just too cool to describe..."

"As you may know, there is a problem with battery leakage in these synths when the original patch memory battery decays. Unfortunately I suffered through that problem, but a very smart technician, Old Crow fabricated replacement memory boards that utilitze 3-5V lithium coin-style batteries. Best of replacement of the battery will not require soldering as there is a battery holster mounted on the board [4th shot below]"

Jupiter-8 Cymbol

via Elhardt:
"I created a really good cymbal patch on the Jupiter-8 about 25 years ago. I
was lost when the backup battery went dead. I finally got around to
creating it again today. I takes advantage of the JP8's unison mode to turn
a whimpy metallic sound into a thick metallic harmonic spectrum leading to a
realistic sounding cymbal. MP3 below. First is the sound with unison
turned off completely dry, then with it turned on completely dry, then the
same sound with a longer decay and some reverb."
